Those who believe in traditional marriage had better get used to it. We’ve lost this battle in the culture wars. The homosexualists have succeeded in framing their situation as a struggle. Increasingly their gay pride will be seen as a struggle for equal rights and those who oppose their proclivities will be branded as racists and once that is accomplished the use of force against those who stand for marriage will begin.
If you want to know why the gays are winning read Robert R. Reilly’s excellent new book Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything. Brad Miner has an excellent review of the book here. I can’t add much to Brad’s review. He’s written what I would have written. The best thing about the book is that Reilly explains what’s happening within the gay agenda with an objective, critical stance. He simply reports what’s going on. Just the facts ma’am. The most brilliant thing is that he does so without reference to the Catholic faith, the Bible or any other religious connection. This makes his argument all the stronger for he allows the facts to speak for themselves and never has to pose or get preachy.

The gays are winning, because too many people are not standing up, punching them in the nose, and telling them to get back in the closet.
Public schooling injects people with a moral paralysis. They grow up unable to do anything about the sodomite juggernaut.
And by way of this, there’ve been counter-arguments to my own “homosexuality does not occur in nature” one. Namely, yes it does, there are documented cases. Granted. But as a counter-counter-argument, those are mostly due to animals in captivity. Is captivity a natural environment? Don’t think so. Also, there are no “documented cases” of animals preferring their own sex instead of the opposite one. And if it’s natural, why is human homosexuality so very much higher, statistically, than the supposed cases with animals? Any counter-counter-counter-arguments? Unlikely.

There is no evidence from how they live that the majority of Americans give a rat’s rear about God.
DNA hell. I have ran across plenty of lesbians that were married for years and had a household full of kids. With absolutely nothing wrong with her sex life. All the sudden she turns 50 and starts going to the bars with her girlfriends, gets drunk one night and ends up in the sack with another gal. Comes out a couple of months later and tells her husband of 30 years she’s really a lesbian and wants a divorce, but it really had nothing do with him, blah, blah, blah.
Homosexuality a chosen lifestyle. When this gal I just mentioned gets tired of her “girlfriend” and a few more flings with other dykes, she goes back to her husband, if he will let her in the door. It’s all about sex, sex, sex.
Love has nothing to do with it. Many lesbians are in threesome relationships, or foursomes, or as damn many as they can get in the bed without it breaking down.

"... the masses ..." ........ are yet an illusion, though slowly growing with every generation that undergoes the education system. ADVANTAGE is that individuals get smarter and crave more freedom as they get older, so the "the masses" are always going to suffer a loss of folks who see the light.
The thronging, cheering "masses" celebrating Obama are projections of the MSM. The REAL "masses" are more like us, if how they respond to MSM is any indication. Where liberal causes draw maybe a few hundred thousand of "the masses," anywhere from 880,000 to 1.2 million (estimates vary) converged upon Washington, D.C. on their Harleys last 9/11 (was just catching up on recent past history). These were regular Joe and Jane Americans, hundreds of thousands of them.
The MSM ignored those "masses."
Please have more faith in your fellow Americans. The idea of child-like masses is "winning" over you.
As long as we keep calling them “gay”, they’ll keep winning. They are homosexuals and we have to stop following their verbage.
Basically the only reason that gays are winning some battles is the following imo. Although the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect so-called gay rights, many patriots, evidently including Fr. Longenecke, probably don't know enough about how constitutionally enumerated rights work to argue that point with activist judges who are wrongly legislating gay rights from the bench, not that such judges would care.
What patriots need to do with activist judges is the following. Patriots need to work with state and federal lawmakers to make punitive laws which would require judges to do the following. Judges would be required to promptly, clearly and publicly specify all constitutional clauses to justify their decisions. And in those cases where the Constitution is silent about a particular issue, judges would be required to clarify that such an issue is a 10th Amendment-protected state power issue.
Gays are winning for one simple reason. They are like the pest who hits you and then hides behind his mothers skirt.
They are the new bullies.
I disagree. Ever since LeVay's study in 1991 I haven't found a single study supporting the born that way theory. Even LeVay (who is homosexual himself) says he didn't find any evidence of homosexuals being born with an attraction to the same sex. To date there is no such study that's been duplicated.

Because they have more disposable income (they don’t have to worry about supporting kids for the most part). This money gives them power. And the ethos of the biblically-inspired American of yesteryear is no longer the dominant culture. Quite simple.
That some would rely upon animals to 'teach humans' anything betrays its fundamental lack of any moorings, or for that matter, of much in the way of common sense. To see this, let us first remember what animals do.
Animals, among other 'criminal' activities:
None of these activities inform how we regard cannibalism, murder, gang rape, marriage, the rightful place of the sexes, or incest. What happens in the animal kingdom is irrelevant to what occurs in the human realm.
Humans are different from animals in countless ways. Humans speak, write, have a sense of personal history and the history of their culture (and often of other cultures as well). They think about and plan for the future, have theories about what makes the world tick (e.g., believe in God, Evolution, or alien visitors), and devise schemes of how the world 'should be' (e.g., have legal systems and cultural ideals 'everyone is equal', only a man and a woman can be married,' etc.).
Humans also change the world in innumerable ways (build roads, buildings bridges, tunnels), and manipulate the earth for food and entertainment (e.g., horticulture, husbandry, planetary exploration). Animals, as near as we can determine, do none of these things. Even when they 'use tools' (like sticks or rocks), animals display only rudimentary skill at the enterprise.
If we arbitrarily pick which animal behaviors to value, then any such study from which we get insights for human behavior is a complete waste of time.

Sheesh. That brings up too many memories. I do NOT miss the debate and tired of it years ago.
I was thinking that most of the world does not accept homosexuality. Asia, the Russian countries, Africa, and most of South America. Just the Us and Europe actually.

A simple search on how many Americans believe in God runs about 80%.
Granted, many people find God in different ways and pols are pols but even in this crude earthly measurement God is still Winning .....Overwhelmingly ...and he’s not worried about winning a popularity contest. He will prevail.
I agree that many Americans don’t seem to be living their lives as well as others.
I trust God will be the ultimate judge on who finds their way back to him
There’s more than one story of a sinner finding their way.
Some of the others in this thread suggest praying more. Think sometimes that’s the best we can do.
