I like Mitt Romney and believe he could be a fine president under different circumstances. As a born-again Christian, I cannot vote for him. As Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of a large Baptist church in Dallas, said, Mormonism is not just another denomination; it is a cult.
Jeffress is a fine man. I have watched him on television for many years, even though I am not a Baptist.
A few years ago, I purchased books, magazines and DVDs from Lamb and Lion Ministries. Two DVDs concerned cults. The largest and most well-known is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The Jesus of the cults is not the Jesus of our Holy Bible. Their Jesus was conceived by God who once was a man and became God by being good. This god had sex with Mary so came Jesus. God has a wife, therefore, a Mother God and Father God. They had many other children. Jesus and Lucifer are brothers.
Mormons believe if they are good enough they can become a god, and have their own planet. The Mormon church never has a cross outside, or inside, because you don't honor a murder weapon. Our Jesus gave up His life and shed His blood on the cross so that we might be saved. They take communion with bread and water; they hate the blood. Mormons don't get to go into the big Temples very often. They mainly go to be baptized for people who died years ago so that they could go to heaven. Mormons must not drink coffee or tea, and be married for life to go into the big Temple. They have three Heavens.
Interesting.
Maybe it's because you are condescending to read and use such an unholy language as English.
There's probably a much holier language you stick to - one befitting your obvious corner on righteousness.
Reformed Egyptian perhaps.
Did I say that out loud.
If Romney gets the nomination it will be the first time we have a guy running that thinks he is going to be a God versus one that already thinks he is one.
Your data is a bit outdated.
Temple recommends are good for 2 years.
The “shields” are now sewn up the sides, and the washing and anointing is done on the head only.
The evil Christian pastor was edited out a few years ago.
The “magic underwear” can be itchy, especially for us heavier guys. But they are sold in other materials, including this mesh stuff that is not itchy or warm, but is way to slippery for me.
The tops don't go down to the elbows. In fact, the women's tops barely have a sleeve at all, and in the “drysilk” model the sleeves tend to roll up to the shoulder.
If the bridal dress covers the garments, then nothing else is required. It is the folks that try to serve God and mammon that have to use an insert in their wedding dress to meet the decency standards.
Can't speak to the bra thing. I have seen both options used.
There you go again.
My Jesus is better than your Jesus.
My Jesus would kick your Jesus’ ass ... if he was riding one. Well alright, he might not kick it...but he could...if he wanted to. Not that he would. YOURS probably would, though.
Hope it is made of horsehair.
Theres symbols on those magic undies
or at least they used to be
Masonic and Satanic symbols
Hardly Biblical

Also, on the LDS temple undergarment (worn daily by LDS faithful) are embroidered the compass and square. This would look like small zigzag stitching to form a “V” on the left breast and a “L” on the right breast of the garment. There is also a small stitched line at the bellybutton and the right knee. These are on both the men’s and the women’s underwear. The garment is to be worn daily to remind the Mormon of the covenants made in the temple.
Since the LDS Church rejects the use of the cross as a religious symbol, one is left to wonder why they would adopt symbols used by the Masons and Satanists?

Thank you TeePee for being honest...
My dad was a Mason, he had that special apron, of course I never knew what it was used for or meant. He later became a Christian and no longer attended the temple services. I put it in his casket when he died, wish now I hadn't done that, wish I had burned it.
I joined the Rainbows out of respect for my parents wishes, BUT, that did not last long. Even before I was a Christian,(meaning I went to Sunday School, but had not accepted Christ yet), something told me this secrecy was just wrong. To be able to blackball a young girl from joining is WRONG, nothing in their rituals made any sense to me, just pomp. I quit. Didn't take me long.
I appreciate your enlightening posts.
The great irony in this is that mormons DO spend resources sending out missionaries across the earth to tell Christians that their faith is wrong.
The second great irony results is MITTGOTRY: the belief that everyone holding a differing faith must violate their own conscience to support a cultist.
I think a cult implies a group (usually religious but not necessarily) that is usually dominated by a personality who exercises a fair amount of control over his followers. It’s also usually exclusive (everyone outside our group is “wrong”) and can be somewhat paranoid (”can’t trust anyone outside our group”) - a sort of extreme “us vs. them” mentality.
But face up to the political reality: elections have consequences. We are not voting for pope. The key is to elect as many true conservatives to Congress, so that the president can be overridden if he/she makes bad choices.
If O’bambi is returned to office, no more bitchin’; just look in the mirror for the right person to blame. The fact is that any republican president with a conservative Congress will be a vast improvement over this train-wreck poseur that is currently occupying the White House.
I think most evangelicals have a "problem" with the Mormon doctrine. Mainly because it is a departure from the Bible.
Galatians 1:
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under Gods curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under Gods curse!
We are just trying to square you away. Not saying much different than the Apostle Paul would say or has said.
Was the Apostle Paul a Bigot? What theology was he talking about? Really the fact of the matter Romney and Mormonism will be bludgeoned because of his numerous flip flops. And him being a Mormon.
This isn't hardball yet. Hardball is when he gets the nomination and he has Jon Stewart, Keith Olberman , Chris Matthews, and all of the LSM going after him. I personally probably could vote for him. Only because Obama is absolutely the worst president ever. But I was raised in Utah and I am use to some of the unusual things with Mormonism. For the rest of the country it will be a brand new ride.
We are not voting for pope.
