It is undeniable, that "Savior" in this sense alludes to being saved from sin. So the question is: If Mary had never sinned, or was never guilty of original sin, as the Catholic Church states, why would she need a Savior?
As in English, in Greek word for "Savior" ("soter") comes from the word for "safe" ("sozo"). In modern English, the connection between "safe" and "heal" is largely lost, but "salvation" retains the root, "salv," from "salve," meaning "heal" or "a healing ointment." Thus, the notion of a "savior" being one who restores health, or undoes harm is not a completely incorrect notion. But neither should it overshadow the fundamental meaning that a "savior" is one who prevents harm, as much as one who restores one from harm.
Therefore, it should hardly be surprising that one who has been prevented from original sin should rejoice in her "savior" from original sin.
In fact, the term "savior" in Greek has a connotation of a god who preserves his people. As explained in the Protestant lexicon, Strong's Concordance,:
The name was given by the ancients to deities, esp. tutelary deities, to princes, kings, and in general to men who had conferred signal benefits upon their country, and in more degenerate days by the way of flattery to personages of influence.(Wigram) The word soter was a common Greek epithet for the gods (e.g., Zeus, Apollo, and Hermes), active personalities in world affairs (e.g., Epicurus) and rulers (e.g., Ptolemy Philopator, and later Roman Emporers). (cf. LSJ and BDAG)God certainly was Mary's Lord and Protector, who kept her safe from sin. That does not mean she sinned.
But doesn't Paul state that "all have sinned?" Is Paul wrong?
Not in the least. As Protestant theologian Charles Spurgeon explains (in an alternate context) the meaning of "all," (in Greek, "pas"):
"... 'The whole world is gone after him.' Did all the world go after Christ? 'Then went all Judea, and were baptized of him in Jordan.' Was all Judea, or all Jerusalem baptized in Jordan? 'Ye are of God, little children', and 'the whole world lieth in the wicked one.' Does 'the whole world' there mean everybody? If so, how was it, then, that there were some who were 'of God?' The words 'world' and 'all' are used in some seven or eight senses in Scripture; and it is very rarely that 'all' means all persons, taken individually. The words are generally used to signify that Christ has redeemed some of all sorts—some Jews, some Gentiles, some rich, some poor, and has not restricted his redemption to either Jew or Gentile." (Charles H. Spurgeon, Particular Redemption, A Sermon, 28 Feb 1858).In context, what Paul is saying is that Jews (in general) and Greeks (in general), and every other people (in general) have sinned. To establish that Jews are no better than any other people, he quotes the prophet Isaiah,
What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.In this passage, the prophet is describing the Jews around him, and uses the phrase, "There is no-one righteous, not one." It's been argued that the prophet is describing in a prophetic sense not just the Jews around him, but the universal condition of man, as a result of original sin. It might make sense to say that all we who have committed original sin are not righteous in a sense, since our righteousness is imputed righteousness, earned not by our own effort, but by Christ's sacrifice on our behalf.
As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."
"Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips."
"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
"Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways and the way of peace they do not know.
" "There is no fear of God before their eyes."
But that same passage asserts that not one has done anything good at all, that they know not the way of peace, and there is no fear of God among anyone. Even if our righteousness is merely imputed, and our ability to do good relies entirely on Christ acting through us, regenerated Christians do good, know the way of peace and fear God. As such, we know that Paul is using that passage only to establish that Jews need Christ as much as Gentiles, for they have been as wicked as Gentiles, he is not using that passage to describe saved Christians.
But the Blessed Virgin Mary lived (in part) before the Holy Sacrifice, the Resurrection and the Descent of the Holy Spirit? How can she have been saved from sin?
The bible explicitly states that salvation occurred anticipating these events. For the prophet Simeon stated upon seeing the infant Jesus, "Mine eyes have seen thy salvation." How could this be? Whose salvation has he witnessed?

Mary's role as its intercessor was spelled out in the 12th century by theologians, such as Eadmer, (c. 1124) and St. Peter Damian, and was popularized in collections of her miracles. Mary placates the judge. According to Eadmer (A.D. 1060–1124), an English monk and student of Anselm, “sometimes salvation is quicker if we remember Mary's name then if we invoked the name of the Lord Jesus...[who] does not at once, answer anyone who invokes him, but only does so after just judgment. But if the name of his mother Mary is invoked, her merits intercede so that he is answered even if the merits of him who invoked her do not deserve it.”

I have in my library hundreds of pamphlets, manuscripts and books all published with the official imprimatur of the Roman Catholic Church. In every one of them, language which is applied to God alone in Scripture is applied to the Virgin Mary. She is worshipped: she is given almost every title of Christ. Thus, they are subtly but systematically raising her to a place of equality with our Lord.... Worship, prayers, shrines, and even altars in churches have been consecrated to her around the earth. The healing grottoes are seldom dedicated to Jesus of Nazareth, but to "Our Lady of Lourdes," "Our Lady St. Anne de Beaupre," "Our Lady of Fatima," etc. The statues which are seen in Roman Catholic homes are invariably of Mary. The largest niches in Roman Catholic churches are occupied by images of Mary. The preponderance of prayers are to Mary, and the "Hail, Mary" is repeated in the Rosary continually. A bone of contention. You 'say' she's not God according to Catholic teaching, but then you treat her as if she is.
Only God should be prayed to, bowed to, or receive titles and Honors that belong to God ALONE. And only Christ (God) is our mediator in direct contradiction to your catechism #969. (I Timothy 2:5-6). When Mary has been raised to any of the above positions that ONLY belong to God you HAVE made her God. This is not rocket science. Catholic teaching SAYS one thing then DOES another. Its the ACTIONS that are the proof in the pudding, not what is SAID.
You cay SAY until the cows come home that you don't worship Mary or make or a God, but your ACTIONS prove otherwise. At this point the only thing that any Catholic can do to prove sincerity to me is to repent of these actions. Preaching and word games means nothing.
Repentance should include the following:
1) Repent from the practice of praying to Mary. The Bible nowhere teaches that prayers are to be directed to anyone but God, and that God is the only one who knows our hearts (1 Kings 8:39).
2) Repent from the practice of seeking grace from Mary. The Bible teaches us that all grace comes from God alone (1 Peter 5:10).
3) Repent from the practice of referring to Mary as 'our life' and 'our hope'. The Bible teaches us that only the Lord is our life and hope (Colossians 3:4; 1 Timothy 1:1).
4) Repent from the practice of making her into a co-redemptrix equal to Christ. The Bible says that there is only one mediator, Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5) and that Christ is the only one interceding for us (Hebrews 7:25). Why in the world would anyone seek Mary to be a mediator or intercessor when the Bible clearly says that role belongs to Christ. Is Christ insufficient or weak that He needs Mary to accomplish what HE cannot do? Nonsense!
5) Repent from the practice of trusting eternal souls into Mary's care at the hour of their deaths. Isn't the Good Shepherd able to keep His sheep and bring them safely to glory (John 10:27-30)? Is Christ inadequate to this task also? Only Mary can save??? Again nonsense! Shame on all who have done this!
6) Repent from the practice of bowing to Mary. This is idolatry and forbidden in Lev. 26:1. And don't give me any nonsense about 'divine worship' gobbely gook. The Hebrew word for 'worship' in Exodus 20:5 = "shachah" שָׁחָה. Strong's says:
"172 occurrences; AV translates as “worship” 99 times, “bow” 31 times, “bow down” 18 times, “obeisance” nine times, “reverence” five times, “fall down” three times, “themselves” twice, “stoop” once, “crouch” once, and translated miscellaneously three times. 1 to bow down. 1a (Qal) to bow down. 1b (Hiphil) to depress (fig). 1c (Hithpael). 1c1 to bow down, prostrate oneself. 1c1a before superior in homage. 1c1b before God in worship. 1c1c before false gods. 1c1d before angel."
Bowing down is clearly described as WORSHIP. Clearly, Roman Catholics who bow down before statues of Mary (and others) are risking breaking the commandment not to worship other gods and not to bow down before idols. The Catholic Church responds by saying that as long as it isn't divine worship given to Mary, it is okay. But this is nothing more than a word game. They do the same thing to Mary that they would to God and excuse it by saying that it isn't divine worship. The funny thing is that God doesn't make the same distinction as the Catholics do. God says don't do it. Don't bow down before images in Lev 26:21! REPENT!!
You said it correctly when you said, "The answer is not to teach falsely about Mary or Jesus..." AMEN!!! So come out of the Catholic Church and REPENT for the RCC teaches FALSELY!!!

Born of a woman, His mother, here, on earth.

I do know the difference between the finite and infinite, between icon and idol, between God and Mary. For you to know how I treat Mary would require you to have knowledge of my thoughts that you cannot possibly have.
I do realize that for some the distinction between honor, high honor and worship does not seem to exist when it comes to saints or other religious figures. For them there's just worship. A bow is worship, a kiss is worship, etc. They can only think of what they would be thinking if it were they.
But that would be an error of projection.
There is also the difference that the meaning of the Communion of Saints, Body of Christ, etc. has been lost in some areas of Christendom. Combined with intercessory prayer this causes confusion and error in some when viewing Catholic prayers.
If "offending" Christ's divinity on earth were an issue, wouldn't the ultimate offense to his divinity be agreeing to be nailed to a cross? If He was willing to suffer the ultimate humiliation on behalf of His sinner children, then surely coming into this world through one of them would be no offense at all by comparison.
And I know the difference between what people claim and what they actually do which makes the claim mere hypocrisy. Jesus didn’t say you’ll know them by what they say, He said you’ll know them by their fruits - deeds.
That speaks clearly to all who truly know HIM. And that’s all I need to know. Your actions speak far louder than any preaching you may try to do here on FR.

Questions:
Did Jesus exist before Mary existed?
Since we agree that Jesus is both human and divine, when you say they cannot be separated, then did God the Son die on the cross? The human nature had a beginning, did it not?
You say mothers give birth to persons, yet do they not really give birth to a body that contains a personal spirit? Some mothers give birth to stillborn babies. They are persons, they have bodies, yet they do not have a spirit anymore.
Why did the Roman Catholic Church's magesterium go against the teachings of some of their revered "fathers" who disputed that Mary was the "Mother of God"? You DO know it was not universally accepted, don't you?
Finally, why didn't the "all-wise, Holy Spirit led" magesterium understand that they could have avoided the controversy by explaining the incarnation more clearly without assigning God-birthing to a human being? How many organizations exist today that are devoted to the Virgin Mary and who only acknowledge Jesus Christ in passing? Do you believe that is how it should be?

Translation: If someone is praying to, bowing before, etc. etc. its worship in any definition of the word worship. That the person doing the genuflecting and bowing then tries to claim they're not worshiping the person they are bowing and genuflecting before doesn't change facts. It just makes them hypocrites on top of being idolators. Plus it just makes them look stupid. (Pretty much on the same level as a socialist denying being a socialist all at the same time they are redistributing the wealth and implementing obamacare).

Amazing! It sure sounds like either Mary can be tricked or she can be used as a cover for someone who wants to sneak past the justice of Christ. Both are outlandish and neither is Scriptural.
