I can’t say I am real happy with her support of McLame. Reserving judgment and hoping she will repent of that. Otherwise I like her. She reminds me a lot of me (the guns, hunting, etc).
I’m with her like 90% - it’s the McLame thing that’s got me upset ... what with the way he treated her after the campaign plus his staff ....
Roger that. I'm not a dispensationalist by any means but I find preterism even less convincing. In addition to the excellent points you made I would not that no one in Rome was ever required to have Nero Ceasar's mark placed on his hand or forehead as the Bible tells us will be required with the mark of the Beast. So how can the mark be referring to Nero Ceasar? Further, to accept preterism you have to accept that all of Revelation has already happend. So when did Christ reappear, as is described in Revealtion? I've missed out on the historical account of that. Finally, many of the former hard core preterists, like Kenneth Gentry, have now backed off preterism and call themselves "semi-preterists". Semi-Preterism is just a front loaded version of the historicist doctrine.
they have said repeatedly that this bill will ensure that EVERYONE receives medical care! So why the need to implant chips? No one is suggesting implanting chips. The blogger at "the Daily Paul" basically pulled that out of thin air. Apparently, Rapture Ready thought this was something that Ron Paul endorsed and to it at face value. It's not true.
If you had read what I wrote you would have found that I said the same thing that you did. That is the RFID only holds a unique ID number which serves as a key into an on-line database. The article and some of the comments however assumed the chip held the records themselves which is clearly not practical for the reasons stated. In point of fact it is more likely that in implementing such a system that key cards similar to credit cards would be distributed rather then using the RFID invasive technology.

No, the records on the chips themselves is not practical but a DB link would be and is probably how it will work.
I'm not trying to debate Biblical prophecy, I was only pointing out that such technology is not satanic in and of itself and that it is easily defeated by something as mundane as tin foil. As to the Anti-Christ, Revelations, and the Horsemen, people have been seeing signs of the "end times" for about two thousand years. So far they have all been disappointed. You may be right this time but the odds are against you.

"PS Wrapping you arm (or wherever) in aluminum foil will do the job on a less permanent basis."
That wont work.
In order to completely shield the transceiver you
would have to cut off your arm and completely
encase it in metal with no gaps or holes to
leak the rf. Any holes or gaps unless small enough would act
as a waveguide.
If their wrong they burn in hell for all eternity for taking
the mark of the beast.
Me too! Yikes!
It is absolutely totalitarianism. No doubt whatsoever about that!
How, exactly, was man able to number every single person on the face of the earth, not just the known world at that time but the entire earth in 70AD? The Bible tells us that every person will be made to receive the Antichrist's mark when he comes to power.
It is just in our generation that we have the technology to accomplish that!
Thank you for that post!
And as far as people believing for thousands of years that they were living in the end times, the prophecy that is detailed in Scripture for the time right before the return of Christ meant nothing and did not begin until Israel became a nation. So, you're right that for the thousands of years before 1948, people who thought they were the generation that would see Jesus' return were wrong.
The rebirth of Israel as a nation (Isa 66:8), the Jerusalem controversy in the "end times" (Zech 12:1-3), the impending fulfillment of the Psalm 83 prophecy regading war between Israel and her immediate neighbors, the miraculous restoration of the Hebrew language (Zephaniah 3:9), the revival of the Roman Empire (Daniel 2:40-44), one world government (Daniel 7:14; Rev 13:7,8) preparations for rebuilding the Jewish Temple (Rev 11:1,2), and the ongoing negotiations for a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians (Dan 9:27) are all just a few strong indicators that the generation Christ was talking about has already been born, and the return of Jesus Christ to establish His reign for a thousand years is close at hand.
The odds against even ten prophecies occurring by random chance alone in one generation are simply staggering
So while thousands of detailed Biblical prophecies have been fulfilled to the smallest detail throughout history, none of the signs that pointed directly to Christ's return have existed in any generation other than our own.
