The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Ya know Cindy, if you want a club for your buddies, why not start your own website or Yahoo group? This is apparently an open thread on a presumptively open website. If anything closes the thread, it would be JR.

Can anybody post here, or just some people?Well, Jubel, you'd best ask the lady at the door. She says it's her "home base."
I'm just a Predestinarian interloper. 8~)

You obviously don't know the recent history of the Calvinists on FR. We believe ourselves to be an endangered species (the Lead Moderator said as much last night) and there's no Act to protect us, except for God's hand.
Do you really believe that if God wants your message to go out from this thread that anyone can shut you down?
Personally, I hope y'all stay, you've brought new life to the threads
JH :)

Me too. And I am back to lurking status.

The bible says we are born as sinners.. not when we know that we are.Which is where you run into the problem of infants and salvation....of course...but you knew that. And I do not dispute that we are born with a corrupted nature, but you and I will obviously agree on what that entails.
The minute that you make any exception to this , then you have men that God owes salvation to based on their righteousness not Grace
You can state that this is the case, but I'm not sure it follows. Can you elucidate?
To: IMRight
I agree. Rules are rules.
I know of one Catholic poster who was banned, but has been allowed to post again.
Countless Calvinists have received time-outs from which they've returned. As of today, seven Calvinists are still banned, and another one (DittoJed2) said she left FR in disgust before she was banned.
I know of no Arminian who was banned, with the possible exception of one.
Them's the facts as I know 'em, though I'm always happy to be further enlightened.

Yes, when people debate "the Jews killed Him" "no the Romans killed Him" some Christian will point out "no, our sins killed Him" and it will eventually hit home to all "I killed Him".
While all of those things are true - and the later are necessary realizations to come to - there can be no doubt that God did it. And knew that He would do it from the beginning of timeAhhh and we have perfect agreement .The cross was first and foremost a perfect vindication of the Holiness of God.That however does not negate that the cross was the method of reconciliation and salvation ordained by God .
Both things can be and are true .
We are resurrection people..
Rom 1:4 And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

So are we playing "Whos the Boss"? Is there a heirarchy here? If so, I will be the leastest.
Sorry, that positions taken, and I was grandfathered in. :)

Not quite up to your usual posting standards.
I find it hard to determine exactly what you mean by that one scripture reference.
To: Dr. Eckleburg
The Arminian believes that God's call must be "accepted" in order to activate God's grace. If this were true, all of the above would be damned, and their names would never have been in the Book of Life in the first place.Whenever I see "The Arminian believes" or "Arminians say" or anything like this in one of your posts, I can be pretty sure that what comes next is not what I believe. Maybe I'm not Arminian. Or more likely, you have no idea what Arminians believe outside of Cavlinist tract writing.
To: Dr. Eckleburg
Sorry about that. It came up blank on my screen and I assumed you had posted before typing anything. So much for humor...

Are you in Skulll and Bones?

If you mean by too impressed that I try to find the good in people and in situations and go from there then I agree. I'm ashamed to admit that I wasn't always like this though.
There is a different in knowing and believing. Mal knows his NT scripture (and knows how to use it when he wants to:')
You do what you can you know. Mack has a hiding place for him and I told him where food was. Did you think we were joking? :') Not much more you can do but get them to promise not to take the mark if they don't make the first cut you know. Everyone on this thread has heard the Word. I would rather them go with us but....
To: JubelLee
This is a neutral thread or trys to be it is one of the oldest threads! Seems some are jealous and try to mess with it!
This thread is Malakhi project for smooching and friendly discussion on theology!
Malakhi is Jewish but started this thread called the Never Ending story! = NES
