The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

Well if you reject then that's definately a falling out IMO lol:') Stop preaching to me about OSAS,ok? You don't believe it so you are just talking the talk. You aren't a liar. You know everything you think you need to know but you don't believe, really believe in it, right?

I believe I said "without a doubt because I get points for putting up with YOU". Which really isn't the same thing as falling for the error of OSAS.
How simple is it? If you're saved, you're saved. It doesn't depend upon
your arbitrary definition of OSAS. If your left leg is cut off it is cut off. Period. End of story.
If the Lord has "saved" you do you think He will change his mind? Do you think He will say "oh you committed a sin today and you haven't had a chance to confess it"?
Pay attention now, it is not you who determines whether you are saved or not, it is the Lord. Therefore OSAS!
I know all this is hard for you (not an insult - a ) but you're stuck with Steven being a liar and you miss-"sensing" (or whatever the heck the spirit gives you to identify another brother in Christ) him.
I have no such stumbling block.
Your stumbling block is you are a blind, sick puppy who has somehow missed the idea that God loves us all.

I guess (from the logical framework we were building from) that depends on whether she "exists". AND whether there is a relationship to be had if she DOES exist (e.g. if it's impossible to communicate either way because she is dead). And, alternately, it depends on whether it's possible for some other entity to fake Mary's side of the relationship without the "believer" knowing what's really going on.

Actually, I've been a Calvinist since before my birth. And I didn't convert - the decision was never mine to make :) Nice deflection.
Was there ever a time in your life when you did not believe the doctrines of Calvinism? If so, at what point did your beliefs change?
It is worth noting that many if not most of the regular participants on the Religion Forum are converts to their present beliefs.

Actually, I had assumed he was fresh out of confession and had not committed any mortal sins. It's called being in a state of grace.
Actually, I'm not surprised at your canned spin.

Goodness. You just went from Calvinism to full Unitarianism in one post! Congratulations!

I take it malakhi is the "other entity" here?
To: OLD REGGIE
Actually, I'm not surprised at your canned spin. Alternating telling everyone how everyone is loved by God with hurling insults at me? Does that seem consistent?

Nice deflection. Deflection? More likely the opposite is true. After all, I'm not trying to deflect attention away from Iggy and make you the subject of the current conversation, am I?
To: IMRight; malakhi
I take it malakhi is the "other entity" here? Actually, no. Unless malakhi is a ventriloquist and has been using a falsetto voice, that is.

Stop preaching to me about OSAS,ok? Really? I've seen no end here of people telling me what I believe. Can't I play?
You don't believe it so you are just talking the talk. You aren't a liar. You know everything you think you need to know but you don't believe, really believe in it, right?
I don't believe OR disbelieve it. I think it's irrelevant. I don't WANT to "not believe" and find out what happens. I don't WANT to lose this relationship. I WANT to WANT nothing BUT HIM for the rest of my life. You HAVE to be an adopted child of God (leaving out the pygmy thing). You HAVE to believe in HIM... NOT "believe" that you can never fall away.... DON'T fall away.
Whether I "don't fall away" because it wasn't possible in the first place or "don't fall away" because HE has aided my faith to actually complete the race is not important to me.

How about a FR Conversion-athon. Someone could agree to convert to the religion raising the most bucks! Now thats the ticket.

I know. Just teasing. Preach away Brother TB :') OSAS important to me in that I know to whom I belong and that my salvation is secure but it's not something I dwell on until it's thrown in my face :')

Alternating telling everyone how everyone is loved by God with hurling insults at me? Does that seem consistent? Yes. Just assume Reggie is not God. It's what keeps me going.

TBN has it's own religion? ;o) They seem to enjoy their own unique sense of reality. I don't suppose having their own religion would be far behind :D
