Yeah, I believe him. But he didn't say that, my mistake.

>>>>Universities contain colleges. State colleges contain departments.<<<<<

Thanks, I remember being in the College of Lib Arts @ U of MN and the Biz Dept @ San Jose State University. Had forgotten that. However, what was the point or issue that Busty was addressing? I need to see a transcript, but I seem to remember he was making a issue about 'training our kids etc'. My experience is that "real" Universities are for research and PhD potential students, but offer little for the majority of minority/low income students. State Univeristies are for us run of the mill students who want to do applied 'real' work.

I think Busty was just whining by claiming Kali hasn't built any 'Univeristies' and is just another typical liberal distortion IMHO.

Well, that is a good thing.

Don't take this wrong, but: It isn't the votes of people on this forum, or people like the people on this forum (!) that Arnold needs to win California.

I am pretty sick and tired of those supporting Arnold being called RINOS. The real enemy is supposed to be democrats, but let me tell you, around here it is the pubbies against the pubbies and it is sickening.

After tonight's debate I publicly apologize for calling McClintock a McJudas. He was quite civil to Arnold and set a good example. But Arnold did what he needed to do, with pizzazz, and his spin-room press conference was outstanding.

Arnold was not the least bit timid, he zinged Arianna Huffington a few times (he's a very witty man), and proved that he could survive a debate with professional politicians. Tom McClintock was less charismatic, but had excellent command of the issues and sounded like a serious conservative (which appealed to all of us here, I'm sure) - he didn't snipe at Schwarzenegger (which he has done before), which was good. Overall a good night for both Republicans.

One thing that Arianna did that I liked, was she called Bustamante on his condescending tone.

That may have been the last straw for him. Notice how he slinked away after the debate, deflated?

You are voting for the guy with the best smile, not based on any positions?

Get real. I'm voting to stir up the system. It worked in MN.
The same conservative coalition that elected Ventura just passed a CC gun bill, an flat impossiblity before the political shake up..

From what I heard of the debate, Arnie is going to have to come up with a little more money to run government than TMac. Again, that may be good intentions on the part of TMac, and I may be wrong with that assessment.

You are overestimating a GOP govs power. It will cost the same regardless which one is elected, imo. But if Arnie is smart, he will give Tmac a big role in his admin...

This is very interesting. I'm not trying to be an ass with any Arnold supporters or voters, just figuring out what makes people tick. There was another poster who explained to me that she personally knows of young voters who are voting for Arnold not because of where he stands on the issues but because he is recognized by his movies. So, Arnold could be a complete tyrant and these "voters" would not even know it. In her mind, that was OK because he was going to get votes. That is freaking scary.

The young people, new voters, put Jesse in power in MN.. I don't find it scary at all.

No govenor in our system can be a 'tyrant' in any case. Who's been afraid of the big gray 'wolf'?

Who is this Camejo guy?

Good grief!
I had heard the name but had no clue until he opened his mouth.

Green power?>br> He sounds like Governor Moonbeam on steroids.
Green power? Hispanics pay taxes at a higher rate? (race baiting with an outright lie?).
This guy scared the bejeezis out of me.

She expected a passive Arnold, clumsy her!

Tonight Arnold gave us a preview of how he will handle things in Sacramento....he did say he will fight for the people of California and I believe him.

"Was it Huffington who complained that capital expenditures would take too much money away from socialist programs?"

Dont' know, but it certainly would have been in character for her. Camejo, of course, wants to bust the financial balls of every successful investor and businessman in the state but making them pay their "fair share," ie. almost all of their income, to support all his socialist boondoggles. IOW, he wants more of what has driven business/jobs out of state. His motto is Punish Those Who Generate Wealth And Jobs, Reward Those Who Do Nothing But Consume And Get In The Way.

Bustamante's advocacy for 4 million law-breakers who are in our state illegally and cost us billions, was breath-taking. He has zero respect for the law and apparently is unashamed of that.

I thought Arianna was a riot. She was just what Arnold needed, and she actually marginalized Tom with her attacks on Arnold.

I'm always amused at the elites with their megamillions who won't just shell out the cash for their pet projects themselves. Has philanthropy gone out of vogue?

Mahr was on Hannity today and he said that the crisis in California was just like a party in a restaurant who threw money on the table for the meal. When they discovered that they were forty dollars short, they just opened up their wallets and pulled out some more bills.

I wonder if he has given to reduce the deficit of California, himself.

Liberals always want others to give big bucks while they just tip.

LOL
