"Arnold's embrace of Texas"

How did you get that ..?? All Arnold said was that TX was FIRST in financing their infrastructure, and he wanted CA to be FIRST. Just a little friendly competition!

How come you you speak German and Swiss-German but not French and Swiss-French? No Italian? How would you say 80?

One thing that Arianna did that I liked, was she called Bustamante on his condescending tone.

Not many are agruing that McClintock isn't the best candidate or the most competent. It's just we don't think he'll win. Most voters don't have the savy to take a political pulse rate like we do here. They don't care about real issues. Sorry to say that it's all best in show for the masses. That's what wins these days.

We're running into a similar problem here in SC with Fritz Hollings' Seante seat next year. My favorite Republican candidate probably won't win. The Democrats running are sickening. I'd hate to just give them the seat by splitting our support. Both Republicans here (Condon and Demint) are good choices and not as far apart as McClintock and Arnold.

When I said: "I think the moderator is incompetent for the moderator's job. He is letting Arianna and Cruz get away with off topic discussions and personal attacks. "

===

I did NOT, repeat did NOT mean YOU guys, the "Admin Moderators of FR"!!!

I meant the moderator of the debate -- I thought it was clear from the context.

I actually think the Admin Moderators here at FR are doing a great job! I do appreciate the tough job you guys have and do.

:)

>> "I still wonder why they picked Arianna to represent all California Independents. Money is my only guess." <<

NOBODY "picked" her. She just opened her mouth and jumped in. She has a following with some in the rich Hollywood group, and is getting her money from them.

Their main goal is just to have a platform to attack Bush, as should have been obvious in tonights debate.

Arnold should have just put her over his knee for a good whacking. After that, she'd act proper when out in public.

If not for the celebrity factor, only Cruz and Tom would be considered real candidates.

What makes real candidates? Someone that's been at the public trough most of their life?..... If so then, yes those two are the real candidates.....

Help! I got a telephone call just as Arnold was starting his closing remarks! What did he and Tom say?

If only Arnold had walked over to Ariana and given her one of these.

"Bustamonte was long winded, a smooth, practiced, politician that reassured only the illegal immigrants in the crowd. His syrup smooth delivery and nonthreatening manner spell doom for him in the election. "

We all thought he took too many Valium. He was soooo smooth. Word is Bustamecha was the only candidate to leave the auditorium without taking part in the after debate press conference!!

I'm declaring the Republican Party the big winner.

Our two guys really kicked the crap out of Bustamonte and the two wingnuts.

The part of the debate I liked the most was Tom's courageous statement that government should be color-blind, and look to improving circumstances, not races. Until government at all levels does that, we will move away from being color-blind.

Nice analysis. Have to agree. I thought Arnold was supposed to run screaming from the auditorium the first time McClintock opened his mouth? He didn't, he held his own and was the dominant presence with had the best closing, Cruz looked terrible, the election is over, say hello to Governor Schwarzenegger.

McClintock comes across as hard and all business, which is of course what the state needs. But it doesn't sell well to the large number of dim wits in the state.

Does that mean that if McClintock doesn't win that the dimwits rule?

Just kinda following your logic here... ;-)
