Nope, the Texas example was aimed at attracting McClintock voters.

Sadly to say, few California FReepers care about substance vs style issues.
All due respect to Jim Robinson as the creator of this site.
I am shocked at the level of support for Rnold in California.
Must be all those people from all those diversity planets on Earth that the current governor mentioned.
California style Conservatives look like drunken Las Vegas crap shooters to the rest of the USA.
Is the Fresno HRC going to call me a hater for saying so?

Will be interisting what the Cali newspapers headlines are tomorrow morning. MCCLINTOCK WINS DEBATE, CAMPAIGN RE-IGNITED!

Very smart move by Arnold. He goes into the spin room and feeds the beast, dominating the after debate assessments.
Smart move.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

I want to say something about the tuition increase. It's only $7 per unit. How many units does the average student take per semester? 21...let's say 30 tops. Averages $200. That's two beers a week. Sorry, I don't think it's unreasonable.

Since I upgraded to XP and went to a 120Gb hard drive I don't have a problem with slow loads anymore but do realize that others here do. In case you forget, the Admin Moderator used to ask people not to post images on live threads, but now assumes everyone knows that.

McClintock has had an enormous following of Democrat pundits...Margaret Carlson, Mara, Alan Colmes, Chris Matthews, even the head of the DNC in Califonria (Torres?)

Arianna is there??
Yep unfortunately with her big 1% in the poll...even her voice sounded like chalk on the blackboard ..thank God for the remote control. Now that she took so many shots at
President Bush, I hope she get audited.

sparring with Arianna won't cost him, who could tolerate her. Even her own family has moved out Indeed. After tonight's nasty performance, does anyone still wonder why her husband turned gay?
To: xrp
That is a brillant observation.

Yes it was his best option and I think he carried it off well in the mind of the average California voter and it was a nonplus for moderate Republicans.
The problem for Schwarzenegger is that he must convince the far right that he is independent of his sponsors because he faces not one, but two major opponents, Bustamante and Davis.

I agree...this was the one area Arnold strayed into tonight that both surprised me and distressed me, from a tactical standpoint. Why he did this, I can't imagine. That will play well on this forum, but we must remember that a sizable portion of Arnold's votes come from people for whom this forum would be anethema. Texas won't play any better in California than California (or New York) would play in Texas.Arianna and Cruz had evil smirks on their face when Arnold said that. It is a perfect TV commercial attack ad.

To: YaYa123
That's not exactly true. His final two minutes was a list of things he stands for that Arnold doesn't. It was anti-Arnold non-stop. However, he didn't mention him by name. I thought it was a good presentation non-the-less.

Arnold just extended Tom the olive branch with a job attached ... Yes, I just heard that, too. "Tom McClintock and I will make a great team in Sacramento." - Arnold
He was thanking him for not attacking him.

I agree with you -- a deal is brewing and spotted it when Arnold said "Tom" like they were tagteaming right at the beginning.

Well then he wouldn't be there. I dunno. I'm not going to debate it right now. Most Arnie supporters believe that McClintock understands the issues well and is the most conservative candidate. It's nonconstructive to tear down McClintock based on his being some sort of "mooch." At least dislike him for a viable reason.

"Anybody want to BET that the LA TIMES comes out with a PUSH POLL showing Tom AHEAD of Arnold out of desperation in a hope to split the GOP???
>You are brilliant! I should have seen that one coming as clear as day."
And they'll race too get it out there as quickly as they can so it will also be hailed (and given more press) as the FIRST post-debate poll.
