Nope, the Texas example was aimed at attracting McClintock voters.

Perhaps it was but it is a dangerous ploy: Remember what attracts McClintock voters can also drive away the Independents. And attracting the McClintock voters with the red meat of Texas will get the numerous and powerful California unions going nuts being time. Ambrose is right -- that is dangerous because it could really energize a RAT vote from the unions (Texas is a Right-to-Work state, which the unions go ape-ballistic over).

It was dangerous ploy, playing right into the wheelhouse of the most powerful RAT constituency. Many rank and file may have melded over to Arnold from the RAT line...but if they can be "propogandized" by their union bosses that Arnold wants to bring Texas labor laws over here, they'll get back in line in a hurry. I know that wasn't the subject...but IT WILL be the way union bosses portray it to their rank-and-file.

Arnold was playing with dynamite there...he's new to politics and that could have been a freshman error.
