I may get banned but you are a jerk! This thread has been all about the two sides getting along for once in the last month and you have to come along and post this trash!

I think Major Garrett's analysis is spot on. It departs from the in studio panel's observations.
Garrett is saying McClintock did fine with details, but didn't broaden his base.
The Schwarzenegger camp knew Arianna's tactic and coached him to push her back to prevent her from taking over the debate more than she managed to. They think it was effective. I do, too. We all get tired of seeing certain types try to run the show and the trick is to put them in their place without crossing a certain line. I believe Schwarzenegger achieved this, as I didn't wince or cringe at his lines but was saying "Go, Arnold!". Garrett concurs that the AS camp is pleased with their man's performance.

Pretty much nothing, Caddell can never finish his thought before former Gov. Jesse Ventura(I) (I is for idiot) interrupts and declares that the recall is bogus because people were paid to sign. They've got about a dozen panelists, all interrupting each other. I'm changing channels.

On debate style, McClintock won, but image wise, Arnold won this.

Both Arnold and Tom performed well. How about knocking off the personal insults in the interest of civility?

I don't know... Major Garret made an excellent point in that Arnold HAD to beat her back aggressively or risk letting her run awry.
To: ambrose
As far as leadership goes----
Schwarzenegger won the debate!
I used to live in Fremont, Hayward, Auburn. If I were still there I would vote for Arnold.

I'm looking forward to this week's "Saturday Night Live". It should be a hoot! It would be like making fun of retarded people. Well, three retarded people anyway.

I provided photos this evening for those who are cubicle bound. Them only being one or two per 50 posts, they shouldn't have been too bad for most folks, broadband or not.

CSUA fine point but an important point.
Universities contain colleges. State colleges contain departments.
The three examples being discussed, Monterey, Merced and Modesto are all state colleges.
Deceptive maybe, but untruthful, no.

For a guy who's been there 20 years. You know, we *do* have term limits. I guess he only cares about a career in politics. He's a hack. That's a serious turn off. He claims to have never voted for a budget. Yippee. And I understand he's voted against the legislative pay-raises but hasn't ever turned away the money for his own pocket.
This guy can't win if he can't reach out (only 35% of voters are GOP and if that splits he's SOL). This guy can't get anything done if he can't compromise.
There shouldn't be an ideological purity test when the choice means Cruz as our next governor.
From a pro-lifer viewpoint I was interested that on abortion, Arnold clearly isn't "pro-choice" enough for the left: he opposes partial-birth and support parental notification. That's a "moderate" position. It's not even a position the left-activist courts will accept given what we've seen in the recent past.
