Yes it is a shot across the bow. I think it's very important to answer it. We are at war, not a military war, but a war none the less for the survival of our nation as a free Constitutional government.

These people need to be prosecuted with the charge of "hate speech" and be made to fear launching any attack on their opposition. Wanting orderly immigration rather than an invasion of illegals is not racist, xenophobic, or unpatriotic, in fact, just the opposite is true.

According to the commission's release, "This group has also planned a 'Free Republic Hate Rally Picnic' " Saturday at Woodward Park. However, those who planned to attend said the picnic was a chance for dozens to eat barbecued tri-tip, talk and play.

Off topic question, but, what the heck is "tri-tip"?

Reyes said she wrote the news release, with help from another commissioner, because, "there's a link on the website that refers to this group as anti-gay and anti-immigration. When intolerance comes to the table, we need to answer that call."

So...I went over to the FreepWatch.com site and you have to be a member to view or post to the forum. To become a member, you have to be cleared first. From the site...

A couple of weeks ago, Freepwatch.com didn't even exist. My bet is the membership of the forum consists of the site's owner and maybe three of his Indymedia buddies ... if not just the owner himself.

And if membership is truly open to anyone who "identifies" themselves to the satisfaction of the owner, then practically all of us should be able to pass the test. How are they going to be able to prove any of us AREN'T FR members?

I don't seen any mention of the group(s) that were threatening to disrupt the F.R. rally. They seem to have noticed comments about defending against disruption, but didn't see the mention of the disruption they were addressing.
