Dear Editor
One of FDR's most notorius appointments to the United States Supreme Court was a Justice by the name of Hugo Black a Democrat Senator from Alabama ironically, who was a Ku Klux Klan member and a rabid Anti-Semite, Anti-Catholic, Racist Justice. But few people know that, or that he conjured up the Term "Separation of Church and State" in his opinion in 1947's Everson vs Board of Education as a way to try to punish religious groups that he hated.
It also went against 150 years of court precendent. In 1932 Chief Justice Douglas reviewed the 1892 decision in reference to another case and and affirmed that "we are a religious people and our institutions presuppose a Supreme Being". The leftists who hate religion and God don't want that information to get out because they would be shown supporting a racist organization to achieve their political goals to destroy the country.
As far as the State Journal Register's misinformed editorial last week concerning the Alabama 10 Commandments. For one Judge Moore is under oath to follow the Alabama Constitution since he is a state official. The preamble of Alabama states We, the people of the State of Alabama, in order to establish justice, insure domestic tranquillity, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God, do ordain and establish the following Constitution and form of government for the State of Alabama.
The federalies have no jurisdiction in this matter because it is a state issue since Roy Moore is not a Congressman limited by the 1st Amendment and Judge Thompson is a federal judge. The First Amendment clearly says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." Considering there were many State established religions into the 1820's such as Catholics in Maryland or Congregationists in Massachusetts I find it interesting no court ever ruled they were unconstitutional.
Separation of church and state is not an American principle but is found in Article 53 of the constitution of the Soviet Union and created here by KKK SC Justice Hugo Black. We should dump it immediately and follow our Constitution!!
LOL. Best turn of a phrase I've seen in a while.
