Can somebody give me the executive summary?Yeh. It all narrows down to Davis saying he's going to work for the people of California.
There ya have it all. No joke, either. LOL

"Just heard Juan Williams talking about celebrity politics and that was a bad thing"
So by Juan's reasoning, Hillary as a Senator is a bad thing.

Executive summary:
- MSNBC and other cable news outlets said that Gray Davis would be giving a press conference at 5 pm EDT.
- MSNBC later reported that it would be delayed until 6 pm EDT.
- Sacramento news radio reported that it would be 6:30 pm EDT.
- MSNBC reported that the California Supreme Court would issue a ruling on the recall issue at 7 pm EDT.
- We're all waiting for both that ruling and the Davis press conference.0

The California is written very well on this matter. Only an earthquake would change things. But then there was the earthquake rulings on Homosexuality and Baby killings by the Supreme Court.
I still think the Dems have someone in the wings and all these idiots who have put themselves on the ballots are 15 minutes of famers aka Duds!!

If McClintock is elected, his vow to void the power contracts will be a major broken promise. I really question his judgment in making that a major plank.
One of Davis's biggest failings was his handling of the energy crisis. What McClintock ought to be promising is to remove barriers to new plant construction, and to replace the PUC.
Of course, that would infuriate the left, so that's why he chose instead to make a promise he can't keep. Everyone wants lower power bills. It's a winning plank.
Except that it's false.

When did he say that? Today's Contra Costa Times reported that Arnold would "terminate" the car tax increase.

Can somebody give me the executive summary? PS....plus muslim martyrs get an eternal supply of white rasins.
To: Joe Hadenuf
Who told you that, source? It's been sourced right here on FR for months, now.
Arnold has not exactly been shy about sharing his moderate to liberal views.
If you think he's a conservative in the mold of Reagan, you're dreaming.

It looks like Peter Uberroth has taken out papers and will file tomorrow to run for governor as a Republican.

Also whether Doofus could gather his own $3500 and 65 signatures and put himself on the ballot (whether that portion of the recall law is 'unconstitutional') (I think)

Looks like we were both late on that 500 mark (and STILL no Gray-Out presser; what a surprise considering he's the star graduate of the Hil-Billy School of Press Relations).

Barnes just took Williams to the woodshed over Gore's speech! Yeah, I heard. Pretty good. :)
I'm still curious, though. I'm not from Cali, so I don't know the politics. I hear a lot about McClintock on FR, but none of these four panelists, who I would have thought had studied the situation, even mentioned his name when discussing "the major players". Are they just off the tracks?
I'm not taking a position on whether McClintock is or is not a good candidate; I'm not from Cali, and it's not my place. I'm just curious why, if he's a major player, none of Hume's panel mentioned him.
