Well, the PGA has no restrictions about women, so, she has every right to be there; so, that's okay. I think she's feeling the backlash from the attempt of the NOW gang trying to steal Augusta that does have gender rules (right??)...I think that the point the media intentionally leaves out, because the media, is a bunch of narcissistic
whores.

If Annika is successful and more women start to play in the PGA events, then this will be the worst thing for the LPGA.

Sort of like what happened to the negro baseball leagues after Jackie Robinson started playing for the Dodgers. The difference is that the negro players were better or equal to the rest of the players in the white Major Leagues. It makes the LPGA a second-class event. Only a small handful of women golfers will be considered contenders.

If the LPGA is degraded, then women's golf is degraded. The Woman Haters Club wins no matter what.

She's doing better than I expected. I thought she'd be 4 over after 18. I don't think the last 3 are that problematic, we'll see.

Don't worry, she still has a chance to make the cut.

The cut is after tomorrow - 36 holes.

It's way too early to project the cut.

I'm sure there will be lots of haters jumping on her first bogey, expecting the roof to fall in.

Maybe she will fade. Maybe not. That's golf. But I think the dudes at Bank of America are pretty happy right now.

Shouldn't your colors be red for birdies and blue for bogies?

Not to be too picky. :^}

Agree it is a early, but the PGA keeps a running estimation based upon the scores that are coming in..... Here's their current prediction

And remember her first bogey came on the third (and final) hole of the "hard part" of the course. Good performance, if she can settle in tomorrow and make more of those putts things could get very interesting.

Your problem is that you think things would be going well for you if she failed.

For a moment, pretend I'm really stupid, (don't say it), and have no clue how to read that. What does projected cut E mean?

I think it's just part of the page template that defaults to E and they ignore it until it should be changed. With not even everybody teeing off yet for the first round you can't make a good projection on this performance. According to Tiger last week +3 isn't unheard of for the cut at this course.

It means the cut for the field is projected based on current scores as being even par after two complete rounds. Anybody over par at that time goes home.

Good performance, if she can settle in tomorrow and make more of those putts things could get very interesting.

She'll need to hit approach shots closer to the hole if she's going to sink these putts. According to ESPN her putts have been (in feet, starting w/ #10): 14, 15, ?, 15, 28, 20, 6, 30, ?, 15, 40, 12, ?, ?, 25.

The 6 footer was the only legitimate birdie opportunity; the putts at 12-15 feet are marginal at best. Anything over that would not normally be called a putt for birdie.

The projection at this point is like a batting average of a basebal player after three games. It's not very useful.

Maybe at the local goat pasture. Six footers are gimme's on tour. Most pro's will routinely make 20-30 foot putts or more.
