It was rigged & I have already let Fox know that I would no longer be watching any of their shows. The best singer did not win. Clay will be a winner as more people will buy his cd's.

Look, these so-called reality shows are all like this. Ever notice the hardly subtle "coincidence" of winners on Survivor? Male-female-male-female-male-female. Yeah, it just happened that way. Um hmmmm. Ruben is the diametric opposite of last year's AI winner, the cute little white chick. The network has to keep the demographics going. Was there ever any doubt that this would be the result, especially after Oprah did that bit on Ruben last week and Fox has been pushing him so blatantly? Not to mention the obvious way the show was stacked. Honestly, anyone who thinks they're actually voting for the winner in these things is, to put it nicely, supremely naive.

I completely concur with your point. I am buying Clay's CD the moment it comes out, he should have won, Clay is where the REAL talent is

I don't know if the vote tallys were rigged, but the judges certainly had their favorite. And that may have influenced the viewing audience. I don't think because Ruben was black so much as he'll be easier to market as a 'pop' or r'n'b star. If it was just a race issue, Clay would've been booted off instead of Kimberly. Clay has a fantastic voice, and I wanted him to win just because the judges were so biased in favor of Ruben. But I can see where people would consider Ruben more marketable in the 'pop music' world. Honestly though, if there was only a 1,300 vote difference out of 24 million or so cast, that's a statistical tie, and they should have given the title to both of them.

How do we know what the vote difference was? Fox can make up any damn number they want to make it sound supenseful.

I like Ruben. He's good, but he wasn't the better singer of the two.

I'm on the left coast. Funny, they bcst it here but WE can't see it until the shootin's over.

Not that I ever watched a single episode, I am proud to say, but my wife liked the snippets they showed on Good Day L.A. of Ruben.

Well, she'll be happy. Those same snippets gave me a headache since all the finalists think that shooting for the rafters in over-vamping stylism is somehow "singing."

The naitonal nightmare is over, thank God.
