Not sure I'd go that far, the boy can sing, just not as well as Clay or Kimberley, IMHO, actually forget IMHO, in my very knowledgable opinion! In a way I feel sorry for him, he's just not in shape to handle what he's got ahead of him. Although I don't think he should have won (and not sure how 1,000 votes out of 24 million is really a win) I'm hoping his health will hold out.

That said, when does Clay's album come out? I'm there! :^)

Cold! Ugh! I was watching the country award show so decided to check this thread to see what was happening!
I heard what Josh had said last week also and agreed. I knew these last 3 weeks who would be voted off and when. Fairly easy to tell.
I am here on FR alot, just don't post much. Nice to see a familiar "face". :)

I love FR, but some of your "conspiracy theories" sound like southern-florida, whiney democrats. They were both great, but Clay was annoying - deal with it.

To tell you the truth..I only watched around 20 minutes total out of the last 2 or 3 shows...so I missed most of their performances.

I kinda thought Clay was a "Peter Pan" flakey type...but the voice that came out of him was impressive...and in my opinion better than Rueben.

Rueben had a nice voice but his appearance was a turn-off..fat, sweating and you could see spit flying while he sang. His negatives were too numerous to make him a real "American Idol" type.

But that's just my opinion.
I didn't vote because I don't really care who won this silly award.

Yep. There's apparently a tradition of morbidly obese black men singing and the judges figured they could sell Reuben as part of that tradition. Simon had no problem telling Josh he was over weight, telling both Kimberly Loche and Vanessa Oliverez they needed to lose weight, but the whale was just fine for Simon.

The show wasted my time. I'm done with it.

You know: IF there were an equal number of phone numbers for each one, it should have been a tie. In theory, everytime anyone trying to phone in repeatedly got a busy signal should mean that somebody else was casting a vote.

Ruben's mother saying she was able to cast 100 votes when I think the most anyone here was able to cast for Clay was around 6 votes (with one exception in Oregon, if I recall).

We could be "Florida Democratic" about this like somebody accused us and demand a recount. File a class action suit because our votes weren't counted. Sounds like more fun than getting a life to me. ;)
