That's a nice name, Clay. Like many nice names, it needs to be followed by the right last name though. It wouldn't have worked on any of my sons.

Our son is fortunate - it goes well as Clayton, or if he shortens it to Clay later on. It's not a name you hear in Pennsylvania, but my husband's family has deep roots in NC and TN, and I have fond memories of my time in VA. It all fits.
