We are not simply "passing them by" ... EPWs are carefully processed... and our guys can tell civilians from RG/military types due to their physical characteristics (according to reports) ... they are well fed, good shape, even "boot marks" on their legs, etc...

It looked like 2 nuns, a patiant or a doc in blue scrubs, maybe 2 persons holding IV bags following a limping person, those Fedayeen could use an act like that to get close and attack, nothing is beneith them. I have a widescreen, detail was good considering.

Yes, the AWOL dolphin showed up a couple of days after it disappeared. It seemed to have encountered a shark--showed some signs of wounds--but otherwise was ok.

I didn't see the video... simply repeating that our troops are aware of the possibilities you are mentioning, and that they have been instructed how to pay attention to threats.

Hopefully they are being alert enough despite appearances. Given the events of earlier this week, I would be pretty surprised if they weren't.

The only place that allegory falls apart is Saruman's overwhelming force against a weaker Rohan. The overwhelming force is clearly ours, though we share none of the goals. We are the battle of Helm's Deep as it should have been perhaps... Taking out the evil before it can become strong.

It is an imperfect allegory, to be sure. They, however, are Orc-Kind, of this there can be no doubt, and there are buttloads more of them where those came from. Actually, it scares me a little that the allegory may be closer to the truth than we yet know.
