They dropped a brick on a cop's head in retaiation for a big anti-drug push in their neighborhood (at the start of the Giuliani administration).
To: Howlin
Write them down, or carry a small tape recorder like I do.:')
To: Xenalyte
Perhaps the doors and windows are blocked? Of course, that wouldn't affect the back doors...hmmm.

Washington Heights is the heart of the massive Dominican Republic community in NYC.
To: Cagey
The buildigs there are very old. It is very close to the base of The George Washington Bridge.
To: firebrand
I remember they threw something bricksalso a bag of cement-and the molotov cocktail throwing incident as well. I knew it was either during the close of the Dinkins and the start of the Rudy admin.

"I just hope there aren't any protestors laying their stupid little bodies in the way of any ambulances that are necessary."If Bloomie had any cajones, there's an easy way to fix the problem: NYC can hire Houston ambulance drivers, who get paid by the patient. The protestors will either get out of the way or wind up as a patient in the ambulance after being run over.

For those of you who aren't familiar with New York City, Washington Heights is the northernmost city in the Dominican Republic.
To: sheik yerbouty
I know, I was born in Washington Heights. It's where many people from New Jersey would go to score crack cocaine although I haven't heard much about that lately.

Howlin, thanks. These days, with so much going on at the same time, it's hard for us cubicle rats to keep up ;-)

I was driving around Washington Heights after a Yankee game trying to find the GWB, in a station wagon with Jersey plates. After about half a block a police car locked on behind me and tailed me all the way to the bridge. Apparently I matched a profile.
I should send a letter to Jessie Jackson and ask him when I can expect my check for being unjustly singled out by the police!

To: Semper Paratus
The Pro_Sadaam clymers are staging a 'die-in' on 5th Avenue causin Manhattan gridlock. Probably hindering rescue and ambulances uptown. I think we need Evil Knival here to perform his famous jumping stunt. Attempt to jump all the the protestors with a steam roller.

If they are, I would suggest running them over! Didn't there mother ever tell them not to play in the road?
To: areafiftyone
My first reaction to the headline was a flashback to 9/11 but I'm glad this seems to be much smaller. Prayers for the victims.

LOL, or maybe they will follow Kawalki's (Vanishing Point movie) example and drive their cars (if they have them-many don't) into a brick wall.
