I'm so sorry I misssed today's event. I had planned to go and had tried to get as many people there as possible, but at the last minute, it as just impossible to get there. It's good to see the good turnout and looks like you had a great time.

Thank you for your report on the reaction of the Marines in the back of the crowd to what I said at the Rally. That means very, VERY much to me. I try to prepare what I say, every time, to reach out to the audience. Those Marines are special folks to reach out to.

Thanks so much for participating in today's Rally. If I hadn't already known what it means to be an American, I certainly would now after your wonderful speech. It was just great!
God bless you!!!

The Rally for America today was outstanding. The program was inspirational from beginning to end ..... the music, the speakers, the singing (that 11 y/o girl was amazing ..... not just her voice and her patriotism but her stage presence and poise!), the emcee-ing. It was all completely top-notch ...... very professionally done!
A big thank you to those of you who organized it .... and to all those who attended. That sort of event certainly makes me proud to be a FReeper .... and a patriotic American!
God bless America!

(Sorry - it's late - so not listing everyone name - again)....But just wanted to say what an honor to be with everyone today. Late WRAL news mentioned the Chapel Hill rally and showed extensive footage and interviews. They did mention our rally, showed about 10 seconds of us with our young wonderful singer heard in the background, mentioned "several hundred" in attendance, and then switched to a violent antiwar protect in NYC for longer coverage!!!! GRRRRRR
Those who attended and those who will receive the photos and info about this rally (our troops) will never forget this outstanding rally put together by a couple of FR heroes! Thanks to Jerry Agar's help and the NC Republicans who put out the word, also, the turnout was as big as it was. And, of course, the publicity here on FR helped mucho.
It was nice to be among those who love our country, who love freedom, who love our troops, and who love our President.
I want to thank the Freeper who had the idea for the "We're With W" sign - took that one. Also, the FR who had the picture of President Bush with the bullhorn and Saddam with the cell phone - and the words - "do you hear me now" - took that one also - thank you!!!! (whoever you are).
I heard more good sense in this one afternoon than I have heard in YEARS from the likes of the biased presstitutes.
God bless our troops, God keep them and their families, and our President and leaders. And thank GOD for our President and for Jim Robinson and this place, this amazing place, Free Republic! (enjoyed meeting all the FReepers I had not met from NC.)

I can only add "Amen" to all that you have said, FWI!
On our way home this evening, we stopped near Burlington for supper. The restaurant had tv sets mounted on the walls. Most were tuned to the NCAA tournament but one that was across the room but directly in front of me was tuned to CNN. I kept noticing all the coverage they had of the anti-war rallies ..... blecchhh! Then all of a sudden I saw video of our Rally! YAY! I have no idea what they said about it but they did have some footage. That really surprised me.
It was so great to finally meet you in person, FWI! That was one of the things that made the day really special!

:-) It was especially nice to meet you, Kayak! Glad you got to see a report of our rally on CNN of all places! (That must have been from all the good hard work of CD and mykidsmom and others to get out the word - or others in the FR network crew) about all our rallies. TV14 is a client station of CNN (I think) so maybe that's where they got the footage. But glad you got to see it! WRALTV on the other hand was pathetic in their coverage of us (while at least showing a bunch about Chapel Hill rally).
Good to have finally met you!!!!!

My daughter and I left the Capitol with the Marines. They are from Jacksonville. One of them had been in town earlier in the week and heard Jerry Agar announce the rally.
They have 24 people in their church in the war now and they thought this was the least they could do. I was touched.

My wife doesn't know how to post pictures - so she just uploaded to a site she has (link in post #29). What is the image server that most people directly post to?

Late WRAL news mentioned the Chapel Hill rally and showed extensive footage and interviews. I guess a patriotic rally in Chapel Hill is more....ahem....newsworthy.

Good morning - guess you would be right - and am glad that rally occurred. But ours had a bigger crowd - but you'd never know that from the WRAL biased, as usual, report.
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
Yeah...that's why I only watch WRAL for the weather and the pet pictures.
To: GOP-Pat
Sorry you weren't able to come, but THANKS to you for helping get the word out by e-mailing all of your many GOP contacts!
