Those who attended and those who will receive the photos and info about this rally (our troops) will never forget this outstanding rally put together by a couple of FR heroes! Thanks to Jerry Agar's help and the NC Republicans who put out the word, also, the turnout was as big as it was. And, of course, the publicity here on FR helped mucho.
It was nice to be among those who love our country, who love freedom, who love our troops, and who love our President.
I want to thank the Freeper who had the idea for the "We're With W" sign - took that one. Also, the FR who had the picture of President Bush with the bullhorn and Saddam with the cell phone - and the words - "do you hear me now" - took that one also - thank you!!!! (whoever you are).
I heard more good sense in this one afternoon than I have heard in YEARS from the likes of the biased presstitutes.
God bless our troops, God keep them and their families, and our President and leaders. And thank GOD for our President and for Jim Robinson and this place, this amazing place, Free Republic! (enjoyed meeting all the FReepers I had not met from NC.)
On our way home this evening, we stopped near Burlington for supper. The restaurant had tv sets mounted on the walls. Most were tuned to the NCAA tournament but one that was across the room but directly in front of me was tuned to CNN. I kept noticing all the coverage they had of the anti-war rallies ..... blecchhh! Then all of a sudden I saw video of our Rally! YAY! I have no idea what they said about it but they did have some footage. That really surprised me.
It was so great to finally meet you in person, FWI! That was one of the things that made the day really special!
I guess a patriotic rally in Chapel Hill is more....ahem....newsworthy.
