They are pushing the envelope between free speech and giving aid and comfort to the enemy Pushing the envelope? As far as I'm concerned, they've gone way beyond that. Does anyone remember anything like this happening during Gulf War 1? I certainly don't. Sure, there were protests, but this is madness. Utter madness. And these protestors here are the same as the enemies our troops are fighting. Different nationalities, different outward appearances; but where it counts, beneath the disguise, they are precisely one and the same. There are only two basic types of people in this world, good and evil. And our evil ones over here are on the same team as the evil ones over there.
With each day, the protestors are going to get worse. As the war goes on, they'll get more and more desperate. They truly believe they can stop this war, and when they see that it continues, they'll try harder. It may reach the point where they really pose a clear and present danger to the civilian populace, just as much as terrorists do, and the authorities will have no choice but to round them up and toss them into camps. Maybe even shoot them dead in the street. Personally, I wish they go that far, and even beyond, so that we chuck political correctness into the trash and take care of business once and for all.
This is a fight to the death -- theirs, or ours. All the forces of the enemy, both here and abroad, were primed during the eight years that cut-rate antichrist ran the show from the White House. Now, the battle is joined. If they really want to be martyred for their twin false gods of socialism and islam, we won't shy away from obliging them.

There is absolutely no way one of our guys would do this. In Vietnam, the officers were often dealing with guys who were drafted and sucked into somethng they did not want to be a part of. The troops that have enlisted have done so because they want to be a part of our military. Until I hear Tommy Franks come forward and state one of our guys committed treason, I won't believe it was one of ours.

Maybe you're right. Like you, I just know what I've seen. Fox definately reporting that there was small arms fire, but I haven't heard that from the two guys on the scene, that's all.

Damn. A friend of mine just got deployed last week with the 101st over there. :-(
If anything happens, I was promised to be notified by my friends daughter. Since I have not recieved a phone call, I can only hope my friend was not caught up in this.

Hate to bust your bubble there in la la land but disgruntled troops happen, draft or volunteer army. Stress is another factor, some just don't deal with it well.
To: dep
No, it was made up by Lou Dobbs...but it wasn't his fault. Just a miscommunication.

Did you give the two translators the same benefit of the doubt They may still be involved. The situation is somewhat unclear.

I'll stay huddled in my bubble until Franks comes with a pin to burst it. And la la land is a great place to be.

MSNBC: 101st is looking for the missing man "as a possible suspect."
To: spectr17
MSNBC reporting "it may not have been a terorist." Searching for missing soldier as possible suspect.
You only have to go back a few momths to the Marines who were convicted of sewing their buddies parachutes closed.
