Julie, thanks for pulling this together! Tried to get something going in Tampa Bay, but they're all wet noodles. My husband and I will be there! We're from St. Pete.
I'll pass the word here.

I sure would like to be there with you! This young man on my poster for the Atlanta rally was born in Sarasota, as was his sister.
He's Over There
I can remember going to the 4th of July fireworks display at Island Park when he was 4 years old. He was scared of the noise and we left early. Now he is over there. Guess he's not afraid of the noise any more.
Good luck on your rally!

Sarasota Young Republicans ...whoo hoo, brave young Republicans!
Thank you, Julie, for rallying the homefront patriots. I can't be there, but will gladly spread the word. Looks like a fine group already. One person standing up for America is a powerful force for good. (^:

Our local radio curmudgeon mentioned all these 'Support the Troops' rallies today, and wondered why the mainstream media wasn't mentioning them. It was a rhetorical question; he knows EXACTLY why!

Julie, I've been in Texas for 8 days and haven't really been FReeping. I'm in the dark about all the rally's going on. Is the one in Sarasota the only one in Florida? I would like to have one in JAX, but haven't a clue about how to organize something like this. Is it too late? What do you have to do to get this kind of thing going? Is there one in Jacksonville planned already?

Here's a map (fingers crossed) - maybe you can describe where in the park the rally will be held? We're thinking of coming down Friday and staying somewhere close - main hotel requirement? Jacuzzi! My wife also hopes to get a little time at the Marie Selby Gardens ... maybe Saturday AM.
