Shiver along with the D.C. Chapter, FReepers from across the country, other patriotic Americans and Iraqi exiles as C-SPAN broadcasts the Patriots Rally For America IV today at 1:05 p.m.

Recorded yesterday at the cold, fog-shrouded, snow-covered grounds of the Washington Monument, the rally held to support our troops, President Bush and the American policy on Iraq features former Rep. Bob Dornan, Aziz Al-Taee, Blanquita Cullum, John Armor, James Parmelee, Kevin Martin, Adam Ramey and yours truly.

Also featured are singers Cullen Martin, Stephanie Souders and, from Nashville, Lowell Shyette.

The program, if shown in it's entirety, should run three hours and fifteen minutes.

Get some hot chocolate ready, pop some popcorn, put on your red, white and blue sweaters and get ready to root for the home team: the men and women serving in our Armed Forces.

Kudos to you, the the D.C. Chapter of FR, and all who helped. The simple fact the "Patriots Rally for America" was broadcast on C-SPAN trumps all the nay sayers. The number of Americans you are reaching with our message and the combined future effect will be tremendous.

Keep up the good work. FR and our Rallies are making a difference one Rally at a time.

FWIW Rush was reached through email to his brother when one of our FReepers put together a spoof of Jacko holding his child over the balcony. It was Rush holding Dashole over the balcony. Funny as he!!. Rush then put it on his home page.

I have read posts on FR by a poster named Rush Limbaugh. I don't know if it's the one and only, but I just pulled up his FR profile page and this is what I found.

FTH, Thanks. I didn't see it. I'm too busy trying to stay up on this thread and IM'ing smokeyb at the same time. I keep seeing the others in my party, but I seemed to be invisible to the cameras. LOL (yeah, me invisible - that'll be the day.

To all of my DC Chapter FRiends, thanks for all of your hard work and your dedication. I wished that I lived closer and make it more often. Maybe we didn't have large numbers there yesterday, but I know that it was beneficial for the ones that it was directed to - the military and their families. Whenever I mentioned it to people during this past week, EVERYBODY thanked me for taking the time to travel to DC (from Pittsburgh PA - with 4 adults and 2 young children) to support the troops. The American people are with us even if they didn't stand in the snow to show it.

Excellent letter to the media. But how will it work, when they have no shame? When they don't care about fairness and objectivity and balance, only about getting out 'their side's' talking points?

I think we should petition the FCC and DEMAND a conservative based broadcast station. Many people do not have cable, that is why despite everything the 'free' broadcast networks are still many folks' primary news source. We need a similar outlet.

Of course, I will leave the hard work to you.... :-)
