running clintons...

by Mia T, 2.16.03

WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Ex-Clinton political aide Bob Weiner is slamming the D.C. downtown Renaissance Hotel's new presidential photo sports bar as a ''deification of Bush, anti-Clinton, and thereby partisan.''

...Weiner said, ''I saw an entrance corridor of four dramatic George W. Bush photos, another Bush photo on a wall, and one Clinton photo -- buried in a corner inside the actual bar, of him playing pool. To me, and to several hotel employees with whom I spoke, the Bush photos were disproportionate considering that Clinton is our most recent and an eight-year president. The one Clinton photo denigrates the spirit of enthusiastic leadership he conveyed, and the photos of everyone else -- including Reagan and Bush I both riding horses over fences show vitality and high adventure.''

"Clinton's sports love, as everyone knows, was running -- he told me himself that he ran 25-30 miles a week..."

EX-CLINTON AIDE: DC Renaissance Hotel's Sports Bar is Deification of Bush, Anti-Clinton

Bob Weiner, ex-clinton political aide and current coconspirator in the CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme, may not be far off as to clinton mileage.

Pasty thighs and piano legs notwithstanding, both clintons always were, and are to this day, reflexive--some would even say perpetual--runners.

See them run...

Watch the clintons

..while Dubya runs rings around them both...

He rips into jokes about President Bush's intellect as "another liberal snig that annoys me a lot these days," adding, "The fact has to be faced: the intellectual candlepower of this administration is a great deal brighter than the Clinton administration . . . [and] the level of professionalism is very much higher."

LEFT-WING TALK RADIO 2: "It's the terrorism, stupid."

by Mia T, 1-21-03

Hear clinton stupidity, smallness, banality, fecklessness, ineptitude, prevarication, corruption, perfidy and utter failure directly from the rapist, himself. clinton provides the perfect foil for Bush, who makes a cameo appearance or two.

Pay special attention to Dan Rather's little story about terrorism hitting the U.S. "bigtime" during the clintons' tenure.

In particular, connect the following dots: the '93 WTC bombing. a certain bin Laden protégé and clinton's admission that he passed up bin Laden. Note clinton's spurious argument for this monumental failure.

To this day, clinton seems not to understand that bin Laden is -- and was in 1996 -- an enemy of the state, not a simple criminal.

clinton still seems not to get it -- the same terrorist --the terrorist he refused to take--hit the same building in '93.

Notwithstanding this, to hear clinton tell it, his disastrous decision not to take bin Laden when offered on a silver platter by Sudan, (arguably the worst decision ever made by a president), derived from his scrupulous avoidance of abusing power and trashing laws...

Yeah, right.

  • the attacks on America

  • Dan Rather ruminating on the terrorism that came to America "bigtime" during clinton years

  • Dan Rather relating OBL protégé, Ramzi Yousef threat to clinton FBI that the terrorists WILL complete the job

  • the clinton non-response to terror

  • FDR response (says national security a president's raison d'être)

  • Bush response, "I can hear YOU...," "I [as opposed to clinton] will not wait on events, while dangers gather," etc.

  • Mike Moran "Osama bin Laden, you can kiss my royal Irish ass" battle cry

  • "go home hillary!" chant, etc.

*Thanx to Cloud William for text and audio

LEHRER: President Bush, your closing statement, sir.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Three weeks from now--two weeks from tomorrow, America goes to the polls and you're going to have to decide who you want to lead this country ...

On foreign affairs, some think it's irrelevant. I believe it's not. We're living in an interconnected world...And if a crisis comes up, ask who has the judgment and the experience and, yes, the character to make the right decision?

And, lastly, the other night on character Governor Clinton said it's not the character of the president but the character of the presidency. I couldn't disagree more. Horace Greeley said the only thing that endures is character. And I think it was Justice Black who talked about great nations, like great men, must keep their word.

And so the question is, who will safeguard this nation, who will safeguard our people and our children? I need your support, I ask for your support. And may God bless the United States of America.

"Well, of course," she said. "But what is character? The sum total of who you are. The color of your skin and how you deal with it is part of your character."

Bob Weiner .... wasn't he the guy who was behind the effort to push Maryland prosecutors to bring charges against Linda Tripp -- and wasn't Weiner the guy who, after being called by the Grand Jury investigating Clinton obstruction-of-justice allegations, came out to speak to reporters after his testimony and claimed that Starr's prosecutors were harrassing him -- all utterly false and staged by White House operatives like Blumenthal? Hmmmm.

Perhaps the reason there are more pics of Bush than Clinton could be because he IS the President now? Don't want to confuse the idiot with the facts however. He enjoys his whining I am sure.

If mutability of meaning was necessary for the survival of the clintons--their survival hinged ultimately on the deconstruction of words and laws--it is more than a little ironic, and a manifestation of the special sway and shortsightedness of the pathologic ego, that clinton's monument to himself will necessarily define the clintons with the permanance of great inviolate places of iconic architecture.

Whereas a huckster removes meaning from institutions --the wife picked up where the husband left off--an architect encodes meaning in buildings. James S. Polshek, the architect with the dubious distinction of having been commissioned to build the William J. Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, believes that a successful architectural solution must necessarily be rooted in relevance.

Just as Polshek's buildings have physical layers, so too do they have layers of meaning. His Rose Center for Earth and Space, for example, is informed formally and programmatically by the historic architecture of a designated landmark even as it redefines itself, (often too self-consciously, in my view), in Star-Trekian terms. Reduced to its essence, the building is the nascent universe before the Big Bang, the promise of the undifferentiated cell in its mother's womb.

The "bridge to the 21st century" was, perhaps, clinton's most delusional conceit, so it is not surprising that it would become clinton's self-referential metaphor of choice. His library was to be that bridge, if he had anything to say about it...

The architect is often the master of the inside joke, witness Robert Venturi's postmodern chairs. Venturi exploited--unabashedly and with abandon--the vocabulary of Las Vegas, its stage-set-as-reality and its roadside culture--bright, clashing, ugly and fake. The architect's inside joke is his hedge against the sycophancy that comes with patronage.

The flip side of the encoded meaning of the architect is the terrorist's decoding of it. To bin Laden, the World Trade Center was Jewish capitalism encoded in urban space. If Polshek's vision of clinton's library is a bridge, the inside joke is that, at best, it is a bridge to nowhere.

More likely, it is a bridge to the 7th century...or a doublewide to house clinton double-speak. Take your choice.

The Clinton administration "spun" America's terrorist problem when it re-emerged in February 1993, with the bombing of the World Trade Center, one month into Bill Clinton's first term in office. New York FBI believed that was a "false flag" operation run by Iraq, working with and hiding behind Islamic militants.

But Clinton did not want to hear it (he thought he took care of the problem slyly if the FBI was correct when he hit Iraqi intelligence headquarters several months later). So his administration claimed a new terrorism had emerged, consisting of "loose networks" of Islamic militants, unsupported by states.

Israel might have recognized this for the dangerous misconception it was, were it not for the unrealistic expectations that set in regarding the "peace process" when Yitzhak Rabin was prime minister. Already then, a new "conceptzia" had begun to blur Western vision.

"Conceptzia" was the term coined by the Agranat Commission to describe the intelligence failure that led to the surprise of the Yom Kippur War. As a friend at Tel Aviv University explained, "It is much more than a mistake." It is a fundamentally flawed understanding of events that prevents one from seeing what is before his eyes.

Another mistaken 'conceptzia'

At least in the case of Ron Brown, why aren't Americans aggressively pushing Congress and the Justice Department to get at the truth? James Dale Davidson has a theory:

"We're in the point of a hillbilly song, and the line was, 'We really don't want to know.' I really don't want to know. People sometimes shy away from unhappy truths."

Dying to Tell: The Mysterious Deaths of Clinton Colleagues

But even as the clintons fails to grasp the scandal's metabolism
they understand all too well its most significant byproduct.
You can see it in their eyes.
Once reflecting a Machiavellian confidence,
they now dart back and forth reflexively,
searching futilely for approval,
attempting desperately to dispel their own certain knowledge
that their moral authority is gone. . .

It is natural for man to indulge in the illusions of hope.
We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth,
and listen to the song of that siren
till she transforms us into beasts.
Is this the part of wise men,
engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty?
Are we disposed to be the number of those
who, having eyes, see not,
and having ears, hear not,
the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation?
For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost,
I am willing to know the whole truth;
to know the worst, and to provide for it.

Mia T, I nominate you to write the true, historical account of the Clinton legacy. Matter of fact, you've got most of it done already, except they (the Clintons) just keep running on. Please continue to expose the truth. America (as we know it) can neither afford nor survive another Clinton presidency.
