Several military jets headed east on Cedar Creek lake a few minutes ago. Wonder if they have found the main wreckage near TX/LA border? Biggest pieces go farther.

I saw some Arkansas National Guard helicopters heading toward the southwest.

Those temps...just as a throwaway from a ceramicist...porcelain takes on its hardness at 2300 degrees. Wonder why they don't use these hotter tiles all over the shuttle? I remember those brittle, chalky other tiles.

As far as "concentrating on the tragedy", I have been. I live here on the Space Coast and worked at the Kennedy Space Center for 12 years. I have met and worked with many astronauts and am in DEEP sorrow and shock today.

Hard to judge scale, but that looks way too small to be one of the main engines - it has to be one of the smaller engines that they use for braking on re-entry...

You know, a lot of things are reported after one of these events that are completely bogus. This may have been one of them. I appreciate your comments and agree that it sounds as if the report I heard was suspect.

Joe Barton sounded pretty solid about moving forward with the next generation of shuttles. This is no time to shrink from going forward.
There are risks associated with everything. We can't just go hide in a cave because the numbers caught up with us.
It would dishonor the memories of these fine people to stop.

AN INTERESTING MSG JUST CAME IN--WAS EVIDENTLY BEING RECEIVED BY THE SOURCE AT THE TIME OF THE COLUMBIA DISASTER. Interesting. Doe it relate to the Columbia tragedy--it sure seems like it could, at least in part. Does any FREEPER have any discernment, insight about it?

Our Sympathies...

Note from Pam: I received this word from Stephen at 8:26 am EST. Since I know it takes time to set up a post, I know that means that this word was being set up at the time of the Columbia space shuttle problem. It's tragic and our sympathies are certainly with all their families and the nations, as it's also a concern as the first Israeli astrounaut was on board who was also a military colonel.

I do not have an immediate interpretation of this, but I know that many things are taking place, even earthquake shiftings in the spiritual realm happening more and more frequently, as the Lord sets His Kingdom in order. It is a time to pray and there are many who have made note that we need to continue to keep our President covered in prayer as well as our other Godly leaders. Believe me, you can tell when the prayer cover is there and not there. Make it a discipline. God bless you.

The Lord showed me a man who was holding a bow and arrow. He pulled back the bow with great strength and let the arrow go. As the arrow sped through the sky I watched as it changed in appearance. What was once an arrow was now changing into the likeness of an eagle. The eagle's head and body were seen as if in flames moving quickly across the sky. The arrow/eagle sped through the sky with a backdrop of different scenes behind it. There was night, and then day, and then night again. It was as if the eagle was going through different time zones but also through day and night as well. The arrow/eagle was going around the globe as it sped through its course in the sky.

I was given some binoculars to look through so that I could see what was above me. As I looked I noticed that there were several birds, perhaps eagles, very high up in the sky above me. They appeared to be fighting and moving about. Then one of them went higher and higher into the sky above. This one came close to the sun and its wings were catching on fire. The scene then changed and I noticed that there were ocean waves that were coming across the ground below. Each wave became larger as each succeeding one would approach.

The scene changed again with a man holding a large gun. He held it and shot one of the birds in the air. Down, down came the bird. However, it wasn't an eagle, it was some type of hideous large bird like something prehistoric, but evil in appearance. I watched as one of them lay on the ground next to me dying. Several of these birds were being shot at and they came tumbling down to the ground. Then the sky appeared dark in the distance. There was a faded glow of light just above the ground, but all else in the sky was dark. Dark birds were encircling around and around in the sky, very much like what vultures would do. There appeared to be a battle beginning on the ground below, but all was black and difficult to decipher.

A large scroll was being was being unraveled and this was being done, the Lord said:

"Watch and wait for my eagles to come upon the scene. The enemy has sent his agents into the sky. He has a purpose in mind; he has a desire to fill up the sky with his agents of evil. A great war is about to take place in the heavenlies. The agents of evil are battling with my prophets. Many within the body of Christ do not know the appearance of these "fell beasts." Beware of the spirit of the air, for he may come in the appearance of an eagle, but he is evil. Many of these agents of evil are encircling the air. They await a battle that may soon come to pass. With each succeeding wave of my spirit, the enemy will attempt to strike even harder. "

Dunno the specifics. However, as the speed of the shuttle is high enough to use the control surfaces even at that altitude, I'd have to also believe that there is enough to snap off pieces like the "fall-off" tiles or a landing gear door. The most-likely effect of that, because tiles do fall off, is to increase heating rather than create an assymetrical drag.

So then it would be a question of 'how vulnerable is the exposed section to heat'? If the tiles do fall off, with no effect to date, then I would assume that some sections can withstand not having them better than others. What sections on the shuttle could cause this type of catestrophic failure due to overheating.

As of now we don't know if the 'explosion' the overheads saw was cause or effect of the disaster, but I imagine that finding out what overheated will lead to the culprit.
