Former Blaine City Council member David White has started a petition to recall U.S. Sen. Patty Murray from office for comments she made recently about terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

White said he will begin circulating the petition soon and will ask the Whatcom County Republican Party to solicit signatures, then present the petition to federal officials.

I think if Senator Murray has been running around the state stumping for Osama Bin Laden the media needs to investigate it.

Maybe this is where we need to start the blitz?

Actually, if I were to sign a petiton on-line, I kind of like the following one on the website

A Petition to establish an Official Motto for the Congress of the United States of America - "Hey, It's Not OUR Money"

It seems to says more about the legislative side of the federal government.

From Murray's bio:

***Senator Murray is the daughter of a disabled veteran and is proud to have been chosen to be the first woman to serve on the Senate Veteran's Affairs Committee where she has fought to protect veterans' benefits.

Senator Murray is dedicated to the concerns of Washington's families. She will continue to use her common-sense style to forge bipartisan solutions to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. ***

gag.

Thanks for this post! Glad to hear someone out there in Washington was incensed enough to get rolling. Hope some FReepers there do join David White's effort to get that shallow, stupid, liberal bore ousted. That would 'make my day'!

Will the ignorant Bitch, Patty Murray attend a memorial service for the three AMERICAN missionaries who gave their lives serving the people of Yemen?

I've spotted a few "opportunities" in my lifetime but none have seemed as positive as running against this Bitch in 2004. And I don't even live in WA.

I'll make a prediction. She won't be "representing" the people of Washington in the 109th Congress.

IMHO it's about time the Republican pols in WA stood up and made some noise.

I'm with ya, Libertina, but who have we got in the wings to take her on in '04? The last gubernatorial election, all we could muster in the Pubbie primary was a state senator from Moses Lake (yes, its the stix!) who advocated teachers packing firearms as his answer to Columbine (imagine how that went over with left winger Seattle teachers!), and a talk-show host who had never been elected to office. The talk-show host (John Carlson) is a nice guy, and very intelligent, to boot, but did poorly against the incumbent, who is not even well liked by his own Rat base.

We can't win elections unless we have viable candidates, and I don't see that many coming on the horizon. All the Republicans have been able to produce on a statewide level are aging dinosaurs from Eastern Washington who can't get taken seriously west of the Cascades, and Slade Gorton, who gets pilloried every time he has to cover his butt with the liberal half of the state.

Good points all, hunter. The fact is that the RNC has written off our Evergreen State (eew, that suddenly has a new meaning to me) as a lost cause. Jennifer Dunn is the only candidate likely to get any national committee money. We tried to replace Jay " I vote with McDermott" Inslee with Joe "best conservative you never heard of" Marine. Joe got zip-point-sh*t support from the RNC. The state party here has at least 3 "X"s in front of the "S" on their jock size. To my mind, end-of-story. Murray wins again in 2004.

Maybe there is a silver lining in this whole thing:
Bin laden won't nuke Washington state because his "Patty" is here???????????
A little protection for us Washingtonians?
At first, I wanted HER OUT, but now after reading much discussion, have come to the conclusion that she is far more valuable as an example of anti -American liberalism.
Then in 2004, have some fun with printed material all over again.
We haven't talked much about the portion of her speech where she mentioned that if we have a war, they may not get their Pell grants.!!!! What a cheap anti-war shot!!
