Since the Canteen is a "Home Away From Home" for our military lurkers
I think it's time we start creating a Holiday atmosphere.
Let the Holiday Season begin!

"YOU just bring the SNOW." Do you have any idea how hard I am trying for snow? LOL!
Will this do?

"The sleigh looks like fun...but we definitely have to find some snow somewhere.."
May I make a suggestion?
What if we got our friends from last night with the cargo jet to take us to the bases in either Greenland, or in the Aluetians? Plenty of snow there isnt there? Maybe with the cargo jet we can go to both places, plus Ms Feather could spend some more time with her pilot friend....just a thought...of course if Tonk and some of the guys in the canteen have figured out how to make the horses fly, that would be even better....

Uh Oh....getting pulled from 'puter....I'll try to come back later! Have a great sleigh ride, if I cant get back! I assembled an assortment of goodies for you to have afterwards:
fresh popcorn with several different toppings...melted real butter, finely grated cheddar, salt, veggie salt. For those interested in making popcorn balls, cinnamon, sugar, and karo syrup are provided. Here are some marshmallows to go into the hot chocalate. You can toast them with some graham crackers and hershey bars to make som'mores over the fire that Tonk builds us each evening. There is a large piping bowl of Macaroni and cheese and frankfurters which can also be toasted over the fire along with buns, piping hot fresh chili, and condiments. A variety of pickles will be set out, and a large bowl of potato salad is also on the menu! See you all soon, I hope!

Oh man, Tex, I hope you can get back. You got some really good stuff for us to eat. Lots of my favorites. If you can't get back, thank you for helping each day to honor our troops and vets, and joining the Wild Riders of the Night. We have a lot of fun and the troops like our rides.

Kathy, thank you for posting
Ted Maher's picture at 15.
And, MoJo2001, thank you for your candles for Ted and his family at 33.
They can light the way to Ted's current thread on Free Republic.
Ted's character and training have equipped him for the current corte d'kangaroo, a cross between the Stuarts' Star Chamber and the Inquisition.
Still, the press corps is sophisticated enough to know the corruption which conceals the truth, and to admire the tenacity and acumen of the defendant.
In light of recent attacks, it is well that our men and women in uniform are dedicated to dispatching terrorists to their appointments with Allah.
We wish our finest every good shot, and the tailwind of Justice.
Godspeed the finest fighting force on earth.
