Late Thursday night Freeper WVNan posted a request for prayers for her husband. In her own words .....
"He had some sort of heart attack about 7 this evening. He couldn't breathe and I was so scared I'd lose him before I could get him to the hospital. God provided me a cop just around the corner. He was writing a ticket for some guy. I pulled in behind him and asked for his help. He didn't miss a beat. He helped me get hubby in the back of his squad car and he took off. I bet he had him at the hospital in 3 minutes flat and he had called ahead so they were ready for him. By the time I got there they already had him hooked up. Fluid build up around his heart. They have him drained down and stabilized. I'm hoping to get him to a good heart hospital tomorrow. On top of that, my daughter-in-law called me while I was in ICU to tell me that hubby's 93 year old uncle had a stroke and is in another hospital across the river. Talk about a bad night. Thanks for prayers for both of them. Uncle's time is probably about up, but my beloved husband has to get well. He's half of who I am."

Prayers are out.
Thank, God, that a good cop was there and knew what to do. A similiar thing happened to a friend about 5 years ago. He pulled out of a store's parking lot and was heading down a street, and his heart attack hit him. He was able to get his car off to the side of the road before he passed out.
A friend of his happened to be driving behind him and saw him slump over after he got his car over to the side of the road.
This fellow parked his car behind our friend's car. As he went running up to check on our friend, a great street cop was driving by in the opposite direction. He stopped and asked if there was a problem. The cop knew our friend and knew that he had a heart attack before this.
The cop and the other fellow carried our friend out of his car and loaded him in the back seat. The cop went roaring off to the hospital with his lights and siren blaring. He contacted the ER at the hospital which was about 1 mile away.
When he pulled up to the ER entrance, the ER staff was there with a gurney. Our friend had a smaller heart attack a couple of years ago and had come to the ER after that attack. The Dr and RN recognized him and made a quick diagnosis of a massive heart attack. The RN went running back and called the cardiac by pass surgery area. They were getting ready to do an elective by pass surgery in about 15 minutes so everything was set up and ready to go. So they postponed the elective surgery and our friend was in surgery minutes after getting to the hospital.
Our friend is alive and doing great, thanks to his friend, a great cop and an elert ER staff and the great care he got at the by pass surgery center.
Hopefully Nan's husband will follow that path.

Will be praying for your hubby and uncle and you, too, Nan. Sometimes when it rains, it pours and when we pray to our Father, who loves each of us so much that none of us can truly comprehend it, he anwers with awesome responses.
Sounds as if your husband has his own rapid response team living with him :^).
GeekDejure's post was so terrific-I hope everyone catches it-never have I seen that Psalm broken down like that-wonderful! And I agree with Geek-God had a policeman waiting for you around the corner. :^)
God speed and God Bless-We love ya!

Praying earnestly for your partner, my friend...for many years of health and love and companionship to come.
You are co-laborers for Christ, and He is closer than a brother...hold on to Him tightly, and draw from His incomparable strength. When we are weak, He is strong.

For you, WVNan (shared also on FR's Finest.....the text of a great Charles Wesley (another great Methodist, Nan!) hymn......
Jesus, Lover of my soul, Let me to Thy bosom fly.
While the nearer waters roll, While the tempest still is high;
Hide me, O my Savior hide, Till the storm of life is past;
Save into the haven guide; O receive my soul at last!
Other refuge have I none; Hangs my helpless soul on Thee;
Leave, ah! leave me not alone, Still support and comfort me.
All my trust on Thee is stayed, All my help from Thee I bring;
Cover my defenseless head With the shadow of Thy wing.
Thou, O Christ, art all I want; More than all in Thee I find;
Raise the fallen, cheer the faint, Heal the sick and lead the blind.
Just and holy is Thy name, I am all unrighteousness;
False and full of sin I am. Thou art full of truth and grace.
Plenteous grace with Thee is found, Grace to cover all my sin;
Let the healing streams abound; Make and keep me pure with in.
Thou of life the Fountain art, Freely let me take of Thee;
Spring Thou up within my heart, Rise to all eternity.
WVNan, may the Great Physician minister to you this day. May you rest securely in the arms of the 'Lover of your soul' during this 'tempest,' and may you find 'more than you need' in HIM! He will not leave you alone.
