Thread of Thanks: A debt of gratitude to Jim and John Robinson and FR.

Posted on 11/06/2002 4:33:08 AM PST by RedBloodedAmerican

We can't say "Thank You" enough for your hard work and efforts. We know the results of the elections last night was a personal goal for you as indicated by many of your posts, as well as one of the goals of FreeRepublic, and you worked hard towards that end.

Congratulations, and thank you. FR played an important role in getting out the truth and facts, tearing down the lies and spin, in spite of the odds from Dems, disruptors, AF'ers and those on other sites whose goal it was to derail you.

The FRee Republic ball really started rolling in a big way when you said you were fed up and were going to Washington D.C. to demand that Clinton be impeached!!

Freeper, after Freeper said, "I'm going too"!! I was one of them!

When we all arrived in D.C. the night before what you dubbed the "March for Justice" rally, it was like old home week. We were total strangers flying and driving in from all over the country -- none of us knew each other except by screen names -- but when we met, it was like a family reunion!! Even Matt Drudge was there, remember??

That was the night that FReeper "OldGlory" and I met some of the origional Florida FReepers; Gonzo, SeekingTheTruth, Pete Kessler; Bob Ireland, et.al., for the first time.

What a ride it has been all the way from helping to get Clinton impeached, to today where our grassroots efforts have been effective in helping Republicans win the Presidency, the House, AND the Senate, along with so many State victories. (We are VERY happy here in Florida today!!:D)

But, as you know, the fight has just begun. And even though we may prevail in various battles for a while, the left breeds like cockroaches, so the WAR is never over.

We'll win some and lose some --- but even when we lose some of the battles, no one will be able to say that WE sat back doing nothing, losing them by default.

I'm honored to know you, and very thankful that because of you, we have this forum, and we are really making a difference at the grass roots level!

EAGLES UP!!!

...and IMHO we made a difference!

Same here PKM. It would be hard to accept that tens of thousands of fired up Freepers along with God knows how many lurkers DIDN'T make a difference. All of us felt this election was critical to reclaiming our nation and put our heartfelt principles into action. I don't think we should underestimate the reach of FR! And the good Lord willin' we will expand that reach.

We know what you did to our country with FR - the grass roots efforts that keep inspiring more, and more, and more Americans to stand up for our freedom and our Constitution. Thank you for providing this awesome gathering place and the opportunity to serve in some small way here at home.

We had fun with this election didn't we? Florida turned out this time like it should have in 2000! I am sure that President Bush and Governor Bush are walking on air today.

Maybe the Clintons/Mcauliffe/Gore and the rest should think twice about making Jeb Bush their #1 Target. LOL!!!!

Terry McIdiot speaking...he congratulates Democrats for "forcing Bush to spend more money than he probably planned on"...then brags that the DNC spent SIX TIMES as much money this year than they every have....what a moron.

He sayd Republicans won due to better tactics, NOT BETTER ISSUES.

The DNC should keep Terry as it's head...unless they want to replace him with Bubba, who's just as Twilight Zone.

Now I wish he'd shut up...he's probably gonna spew venom for an HOUR.

Dear Jim and John,

Thanks so much for this amazing e-medium that has enabled us to share information and wisdom, organize our thoughts and "Freeps", and stregthen our resolve when things looked dismal.

It is fair to say that your Freerepublic meeting place played an essential part in Conservative advances over recent years, culminating in this mornings winning sweep. The corrupt, hollow Libs have lost their power-hungry stranglehold on American hearts and minds (and wallets.)

Thank you for creating this unique place of information, action and comaraderie.

Mr. and Mrs. Hillsborofox

226 years later, the Spirit of 1776 lives on in the hearts of this motley crew of Patriot/CitizenSoldier/FReepers.

Thanks for Then and Now!

Maybe all these slow functions were to add more bandwidth to the servers because it did pay off last night. I have no words to say. I know that Free Republic is the best news and activity site there is on the internet. The RNC should be thanking the freepers personally because the freepers did it. There was a bigger effort by the Republican parties locally and nationally this time. They learned from the Florida Fiasco and it paid off. Rove and Frist did have a hand in it. But freepers made it happen.

I am in awe of the results. Yes, we did work on this and I want to send out a big THANKYOU to the POLLWATCHERS!

Without them, the rats would have pulled the wool over the public's eyes again.

This mandate, (and it is a mandate, finally) was given to us and can be taken away. Let's hold the pubbies feet to the fire for fiscal responsibility and border security.(my two big ones) Lets keep working on the rats to convince them that it really is pubbies who can make things work. We got a bunch of rat (independent) votes! We need alot more. They seem to be comming our way. The base is energized and we have the momentum.

Let's get it done! Let's turn all the democrats into independents and subsequently republicans. (well, not all of them)LOL!

Well said, Matchett! Some irresistable urge made me go to the MFJ rally. It changed my life and FR became my passion.

I'm so proud of the Florida Chapter freepers. Jeb's success was probably the major psychological victory of all the Republican wins last night. Not only is he the president's brother, but the Dims had made this state a "must win" battleground.

Don't mess with Florida!
