Ahoy, Freepers!  Why not make your next year's vacation a FREEPER CRUISE? Can't think of a better idea!
United we stand for conservative activism AND some good old-fashioned fun, too!

This cruise thread will be running right up until embarkation day.  It'll be packed with lots of information.
Post your enthusiastic comments here.  Links are provided below for stateroom/fares information, registration form and
the Bahama Mama Q&A thread devoted solely to answers for all your cruise questions and to provide you with smooth sailing.

We strongly urge you to register ASAP.  We need a certain number of registrations by a mid-January cutoff date
to ensure our reserved block of cabins with Carnival.  From many communications we've received since last year's terrific cruise,
we're certain the interest is out there.  We don't want to have to deep-six this event if we don't get enough registrations in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE to hold off on making your air tickets reservations until we give you the go-ahead.
We have more than ample lead-time for this cruise and you'll be able to get good air-fare bargains in plenty of time!
Since some air-transportation tickets are non-refundable, we don't want anyone to be left holding the ditty-bag.

As an incentive for early registration, the first 20 Freepers to get their reservations into the travel agency

Hmmm.... May 31 is my birthday (which I share with Brooke Shields and Clint Eastwood). Perhaps I shall treat myself to a cruise birthday present. Will there be single Freeper chix aboard the cruise? More than likely, by the time the cruise takes place, I'll be bored with one or more of my current girlfriends. No sense taking them along.

Sorry. I want to take a vacation AWAY from politics. I would prefer to get drunk and do some diving if I do the cruise thing.

p.s. I just called up one of my gals for whom I do some comedy writing and hit her with the idea of working on the cruise ship as a comedian. That way, I don't have to dump 600 bucks to take her along. She can go on the cruise and earn her way instead.

Will there be opportunities to go skin diving in coral reefs during the cruise? One problem with cruises is overeating. I mean we all know we should watch our diets but when surrounded by all that great chow, who can resist?

You'll see it and love it. I still don't know whether or not we're going, but you WILL NOT REGRET cruising - and cruising with like minded folks has to be the best. Have a super time.

I read your link about the bird houses made out of coconuts, LOL. I have one hanging in my little enclosed atrium as a decoration. It's cute and a conversation piece. I don't buy many trinkets on these cruises, usually only a couple little goofy things that catch my eye to use around my home, patio or garden. Or to bring something home for my neighbor who takes my mail in while I'm gone. It's so much fun to prowl the markets for inexpensive, fun, colorful native craft items.

When I went on my one and only cruise, the way I kept from gaining weight is by taking the stairs everywhere.! I ate much more than normal, and didn't gain an ounce!

For those who want to enjoy the underwater delights of the island without actually going under the water, the Glass Bottom Boat tour is just the thing. Passengers board a 100 foot yacht, the world's largest glass bottom boat, for a tour of some of the undersea attractions around the island. You'll be able to watch as a diver hand feeds the tropical fish that abound in the area. The narrated tour will enlighten you to the history of the Cayman Islands and its people.
