More Crew to come...

Carnival's cruise ship Triumph docked at St. Thomas.

Ahoy, Freepers!  Why not make your next year's vacation a FREEPER CRUISE? Can't think of a better idea!
United we stand for conservative activism AND some good old-fashioned fun, too!

This cruise thread will be running right up until embarkation day.  It'll be packed with lots of information.
Post your enthusiastic comments here.  Links are provided below for stateroom/fares information, registration form and
the Bahama Mama Q&A thread devoted solely to answers for all your cruise questions and to provide you with smooth sailing.

We strongly urge you to register ASAP.  We need a certain number of registrations by a mid-January cutoff date
to ensure our reserved block of cabins with Carnival.  From many communications we've received since last year's terrific cruise,
we're certain the interest is out there.  We don't want to have to deep-six this event if we don't get enough registrations in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE to hold off on making your air tickets reservations until we give you the go-ahead.
We have more than ample lead-time for this cruise and you'll be able to get good air-fare bargains in plenty of time!
Since some air-transportation tickets are non-refundable, we don't want anyone to be left holding the ditty-bag.

As an incentive for early registration, the first 20 Freepers to get their reservations into the travel agency
will win their choice of five (5) sheets of Ocents.com stamp sheets (go to that website for Seeking the Truth's array of terrific stamps!)
They will also receive a usflagballoon.com pin courtesy of Abner (check out Abner's usflagballoon website
to view the colorful pin and some excellent pictures of the US Flag Balloon!)  Registrations will be dated and time-stamped by the agency.
Winners will be notified and they'll receive their gift stamps and pins via mail.

We've got a great contest planned for later.  A lucky winner will receive a FREE cabin for two!
Last year, the contest was won by our Freeper pal, Taxman.  This time it may be you!

Bookmark this thread.  We'll keep you posted as plans evolve.  Register now for this fun-filled getaway in the sun!
Informal FRN meetings will be held on board which will be full of information and idea-sharing for effective conservative activism.

Rock the boat with your fellow Freepers!  Climb aboard today!

This page is for general comments about the cruise.
If you have questions, do not post them here.
Use the Bahama Mama link and ask them there.
Thank you!

OK, Leni.....Darlie & I just faxed the form to Wanda. Darlie put her foot down and demanded that veranda thingie!

When she put both her hands on her hips, I knew I was doomed, so I pulled a "Frenchie" and surrendered without a fight.

Wow, Lodwick, great photo. Our freeper cruisers will enjoy a "FReeper Beach Party" on the world-famous tropical strand of Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman Island.

Folks, fill out the registration form on the link and get in in. Or pick up the phone and call the agency (toll free number on the form). You can take care of your deposit by credit card. Our reserved cabin block is limited.

Think sandy beach, sunny skies, warm, azure waters and great fun with fellow freepers!

Georgetown has outstanding duty-free shopping.
Mrs.L found a dozen Waterford champagne
flutes for $18 a stem.

At that price, who cares if they were being discontinued?

The Cayman Islands government does not impose import duties upon all items brought to the island. Therefore, it is possible to obtain many luxury items at a lower cost in the Cayman Islands than in the United States. Cayman Islands merchants pass these savings onto their customers at saving often far greater than found in other Caribbean duty free ports and airport locations. The best deals are found in jewellery, perfume, china, crystal, leather goods, even coffee. In some cases, these sought-after items can sell for as much as 50% below the retail cost in the United States.

Each person on the cruise can return with up to $400 of duty-free goodies. (I have heard of people having stuff shipped directly to their homes - shocking I tell ya.)

Hey Florida Freepers!

It doesn't get any better than this - a cruise departing from Miami!

That means no airfare for most of Florida Freepers.

Hey Leni, is there one of those buses picking up all over Florida like Royal Carribbean?

There is a real unique phenomenon, called Stingray City, where it is possible to swim with and observe large and tame stingrays in only 2-3 metres of water. Their mouths are beneath their head and the rays, a metre and a half across, swim into your arms to be fed. They've got no teeth, but they generate more sucking power than a vacuum cleaner. You can play with them leading them around. All you need is to keep a piece of squid in your fist and they come to you. It was fun to feed and lead the rays, but kind of shocking when other rays would brush my legs from behind. In spite of that I even caught one of them and held it in my arms, encouraged by the captain from our boat.

Thanks, Gene, for the pings.

Attention, Florida Freepers!

The information on cruise bus transportation for Florida freepers is posted on reply #92 on the Bahama Mama Q & A thread. It'll be a snap to get to the port! The link to Bahama Mama is near the top of this thread.

Looking forward to seeing a mammoth contingent of the Florida gang on board for another exciting event in the historic annals of Freeperdom!

Great pics, Lodwick! Animation, already yet!

How can anyone resist those calm azure and turquoise waters?

Don't know about the sting rays, though! My style tends more to shrimp cocktails.
