Overnite, two men arrested while sleeping in their car at a reststop in MD. John Mohammed aka John Williams and his stepson Lee Malvo. Mohammad is thought to be the likely shooter.

Then Malvo's fingerprints would have to be on file prior to the shootings (DC area, Montgomery) for them to get a match.

According to the Mayor of Bellingham, Wash, the pair had some run-ins with law enforcement there about nine months ago. Malvo was a student at Bellingham High for a brief time.

The fingerprints from Alabama: They would have been in an evidence file and not in their database since they couldn't tie it to a particular picture.

1. i think it might be just disappointing. Nobody wants to give the freepers reinforcement of their sick racist beliefs. Not that anyone cares what they think, just that we have to live with some of these idiots.

His race is unimportant, as are his politics. I just hope they've caught him, though I have doubts. Whoever the sniper is, if he follows the usual pattern, he's probably either apolitical or has beliefs so paranoid it makes a Freeper look sane.

Yup. I got about 3 hours sleep last night. This case has really 'tugged' at me and that's unusual.

Beats me, but Malvo is the step-son of Williams, who converted to Islam years ago. So any Muslim influence likely came from step-daddy, although Malvo could have a Jamaican-bred hatred of US.
