I dunno. I think Malvo was a problem kid and he may have gravitated to Mohammed, who knows maybe he is a teenage run away. As far as I know his mother hasn't made a statement for any kind yet. Perhaps that is because she might be an illegal too. Maybe that is who Chief Moose was talking too when he urged any illegal to come forward.

"I don't think his hair is darker, I think he is sick or something. He looks completely pale. My husband mentioned that he looked different tonight, not so baby faced. I wonder if he is feeling ok."

Remember, a lot of the crew - including him - was up all night covering the arrests. I'll bet he's just running on empty.

"He [Hannity] looks completely pale"

Stage makeup doesn't match the new hair color. Too much contrast in the face, imo.

The Alabama incident was --NOT-- a robbery. It is possible that the trick-trunk was used in the Alabama incident. So, they may have "started slow."

OK .. that I haven't heard before

In my opinion, Moose said nothing tonight that even resembled code.
[unless you count a little 'Moose Speak'....;^) ]

Rest easy, for a while at least.

Never thought I'd be so happy about Moose Speak. : )

Thank you for the assurance! I may actually go to bed in a few, first night I'll have gone to bed at a decent hour in who knows how long.

That probably explains it.

"What about interviewing the victim families. Now that would be good, interesting too. I'd like to know how the dear hearts are doing."

Now THAT would be nice for a change. That's a big reason why I got so mad I had my DirecTV shut off. I USED to like listening to it while online...gave me more ideas of things to search for..but the ad nauseum SOB STORIES, from the families of TERRORISTS and run of the mill MURDERERS and other slimeballs turned me off SOOOOO much...well, it was either have it shut off or murder my TV set.

Hubby misses vegging in front of it though...I'm getting ready to cave for his sake.

FBI is just stating that Osbourne is a "person of interest", not a suspect. They want to ask him some questions about his friend Mohammad.

Yeah, and as of an hour before their arrest, John and John weren't suspects and we were as much as told they weren't the snipers. Even though they were. I don't imagine this Osbourne fella is terribly happy about this little call from LE. He's gotta know that there's a distinct possibility that they want more than just a friendly bit of chat.

John Lee Malvo (17) is Jamaican and an illegal. According to INS records, Malvo was arrested by Border Patrol agents in Bellingham, Wash., on December 19, 2001. Local police called the Border Patrol during an incident involving "some sort of custody dispute" between Malvo's mother, Uma Sceon James, and John Mohammed

Malvo and mother arrived illegally in US in June 2001. Both moved to Tacoma, see my post #2571. Malvo was not a teenage runaway.

..Could he have been the leader?

Not only that, wait till they find out that HE was the one that shot the 13 year old. (I don't know that of course but it's entirely possible)

Yes. Cop gave chase, and there was also a witness in a car. Whoever was running (Malvo) laid his hands on the car. If I have the crime scene right though, the keys were in the door to the liquor store, and the clerks were locking up, and outside. Both were shot. Nothing was taken. The one who survived described feeling "as if hit by lightning." All of that points to a surprise shot, from a distance. After shooting, perps could have approached victims, and the chase follows when the cop(s) arrive. Anyway, that's how I picture it, given the facts presented so far by LE and survivor.

They didn't rob that liquor store. One of them, apparently Malvo, shot the two women as they stepped outside to lock up at closing. One died, one survived. Malvo came over to them, looked through one's purse and then ran off. That must have been when he left his fingerprint. He didn't try to rob them and the keys to the liquor store were still in the door when the police arrived. I think that was his "making his bones" incident for Mohammed.

What about reports of them rifling through the women's clothing...cops were only one or two blocks away and almost caught them. Of course there was the erroneous credit card linking earlier...but the Alabama police said that was factually incorrect. I know the two women were closing up the liquor store...if they were just conducting drive by's....why get out?

They seem to have done a lot of driving with a $200 car. I take that would have been what took them to Montgomery, AL, and then back to the D.C. area for the killings. The Sept. 14th shooting in Hillandale was presumably en route from NJ to AL.

"My only question was as the murders spread out of Maryland and Chief Moose--who I did not have problems with--remained as the "voice" of the investigation."

I was wondering why the local VA police weren't making any statements to the press either...but there's one thing we might want to consider: Williams/Mohammad MAY have been specifically targeting Moose in the communications...IF he was the author.

I've had the distinct feeling for about two weeks that Chief Moose was looking so nervous and edgy not just from the pressure of this case, but because the author of the communique's wrote something which singled him out. Maybe a reference to Moose's own written achievements concerning law enforcement tactics.
