What about reports of them rifling through the women's clothing...cops were only one or two blocks away and almost caught them. Of course there was the erroneous credit card linking earlier...but the Alabama police said that was factually incorrect. I know the two women were closing up the liquor store...if they were just conducting drive by's....why get out?

Thrills, I suppose. But the MO was not robbery, and not inconsistent with shooting through a trick-trunk. I don't know if they had the trick-trunk there, but it's possible (car registered 9/11/2001). My broader point was that Furman's comment re: "what drove them from robbery to serial sniping?" was a comment about a false progression. These guys may have been into killing, period. No progression, except as to how many per week.
