Overnite, two men arrested while sleeping in their car at a reststop in MD. John Mohammed aka John Williams and his stepson Lee Malvo. Mohammad is thought to be the likely shooter.

The stars are on the shirt under his jacket and the bodyguards are just off camera.

Also, that opens a whole lot of questions as to why Muhammed was in Alabama. If you go over toward the Selma-Marion area, the locals around here like to say that as you cross the Edmund Pettis bridge you go from Alabama to Allah Bama.

Here is a small example of what has been pent up and how the military have been helping us all out. The use of military bases for athletic events has been one of these security measures that pretty much stayed out of the press. The following is quoted from the Fairfax County Public Schools web site: http://fcps.edu/news/emerg.htm

Based on information from the Montgomery County crime task force and the Fairfax County Police Department, Fairfax County Public Schools will resume a normal schedule, including outdoor activities, beginning tomorrow, Friday, October 25.

FCPS scheduled athletic events will remain at military venues for Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27, due to logistical issues (e.g., scheduling officials, providing transportation, moving equipment, etc.). We regret the inconvenience to athletes' parents who are unable to attend their children's events due to the strict security policies at the various military sites. All athletic events are scheduled to return to FCPS sites beginning Monday, October 28.

Schedule of Events

1. Cross country district meets will be conducted at Fort Belvoir (South Post golf course). The Patriot and National District meets were held today, and the Concord and Liberty District meets are scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, October 25.

2. Field hockey makeup games scheduled for the Quantico Marine Corps Base will remain at that site. Twenty games will be played on Saturday, October 26, and 20 additional games will be played on Sunday, October 27.

3. A football makeup game involving Stuart High School will be played Saturday, October 26, either at Fort Belvoir or at Stuart High School.

4. Varsity football games will resume Friday, November 1. The remainder of game dates will be released to the press in the near future.

The FBI is looking for a man in New Jersey believed to be a witness in the wave of deadly sniper attacks.

Nathanel O. Osbourne, 26, who co-owned the car in which two suspects in the case were found early Thursday, was believed to be in the Camden or Trenton areas, FBI spokeswoman Linda Vizi said this evening.

"In no way is he a subject of this sniper investigation," she said. "We believe that he would be an excellent witness."

She wouldn't elaborate on what Osbourne might know.

Earlier in the day, two people were arrested in investigation. John Allen Muhammad, 41, and a boy were arrested at a Maryland rest stop as they slept in a blue 1990 Chevrolet Caprice, with the New Jersey license plate NDA-21Z.

The car was co-owned by Osbourne and Muhammad, according to the state Department of Motor Vehicles. Muhammad registered the car in Camden on Sept. 11.

Both men had listed their address as 1400 Sheridan St. in Camden.

This summer when Mohammed visited his family, he just showed up one day unannonced ith Malvo. Called his family who live in Scotlandville, a suburb just outside of Baton Rouge. None of them had seen him in 10 years. He and Malvo both had backpacks only. They only stayed a few hours in one location and a few more in another. He insisted that they stick to their diet which was royal honey and crackers along with various vitamin and mineral supplements. Relatives said Malvo didn't seem happy, seemed a little afraid. Also they had never heard of him before but that Mohammed called him his son. They also said he wanted to use the computer to look for a gun that he wanted to buy.

That is so sad. I used to celebrate New Years Eve in Selma. Had a great friend who gave that annual party. She lived in one of those great old historical houses. It was always alot of fun. She died a few years ago, way too young, and way too good of a person to lose. It's sad to learn about that area. I truly had no idea. I've learned alot on these threads.

I don't know about that...how many of the victims were black? About half?

Throughout this case I've said the only pattern is a total LACK of a pattern...except that the victims were American citizens, at least naturalized American citizens.
