Heard on Fox. Glad to know.
To others who responded..since they are on their way to a Federal court in Baltimore, I think you are right and that they will be charged in Federal Court.

I think the Governor imposed it and he can likely lift it also.
There is no suitable punishment. It will not get rid of the fear that some felt and the memories that will haunt us for years to come.
But it will rid the world of the perpetrators of these vile acts against "THE GOOD PEOPLE OF AMERICA" who once again joined together and held each other up.

I'd like to see both of these guys in front of a firingsquad.
However, John Malvo is 17 years old. Legally he is a minor.
Any comments on this?

Where is the location for weekend retreat. According to the media this morning they were near the retreat.
Camp David is in western Maryland. I don't know its exact location. It's easy to find on aeronautical charts; just look for the Prohibited Area.

Hope you're right Buddy. That would be worth waiting for.

An angle worth pursuing somewhat is Jamaican, since we've seen Richard Reid (the shoe bomber) and now the snipers from there. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a link established between Jamaican crime gangs, radical Islam, and the Black Panther (Islamic) movement.
But even then, that's just one small piece to the puzzle. When it all settles down some, we'll probably see a white supremicist, Aryan, Tim McViegh connection to radical Islam, as well.
Of course, it's no wonder that Al Qaeda has to operate in small cells that don't know anything about each other, lest they might start fighting amongst themselves!

"I just find it interesting that Mark Yates, the camp's owner and a British citizen, keeps denying the camp has ties to terrorism, clearly it does, albeit perhaps indirectly."
I don't discount it completely. I just found the reports last night trying to connect these two with what they kept repeating were 'white militias' through this facility were absurd.
I do agree we seem to have way too many businesses in this country who seem to cater to some very scary customers. The attack of September 11 exposed those flight schools in Florida and elsewhere which do seem to be a regular conduit for students from high risk nations and of questionable backgrounds - and they made it clear they do not think it is their reponsibility to check them out.

Right.
"Muhammad had helped provide security for Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan's "Million Man March" in Washington, D.C., according to Leo Dudley, a former Marine who lived a block from Muhammad. National of Islam officials in Chicago had no immediate comment.
-snip- On Wednesday, federal agents searched the yard at the house in Tacoma where Muhammad once lived. Investigators also combed through Malvo's Bellingham High School student records, reportedly seeking samples of his handwriting.
Muhammad, who was stationed at Fort Lewis in the 1980s and served in the Gulf War (news - web sites), had four children by two marriages that ended in divorce. Both involved bitter custody battles and at least one accusation that he abducted the children, the Times reported. Court records showed no felony record for him in Washington state.
Muhammad was outgoing and "had a good sense of humor. He wasn't a quiet type. He liked to talk. He liked to mingle with people," Carol Williams, his first wife and the mother of his oldest son, told the Times.
She said Muhammad converted to Islam after divorcing her 17 years ago, about the time he joined the Army.
"After he changed his religion, he called and told me what not to feed my child," she said. "I told him as long as he (their son) lived with me, it was up to me."
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported that Muhammad and Malvo stayed at a homeless shelter in Bellingham, where Mayor Robert Asmundson said the teen had minor run-ins with police but never was charged with a crime. "
Mohammed was no idealist recent convert, he was a stone cold, cold blooded believer. He was not the anti-social, loner type. Wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to convert his children to Islam also, his own little soldiers. How does someone who has fathered several children bring himself to take aim then shoot to kill an innocent young boy ?
