CNN saying the cops wouldn't tell them which hospital victim was taken to, where he was shot, basically anything. They've found out it is a man, shot in chest.

500 METER area roped off for crime scene. Reporters say much smaller area than usual. Saying from all indications it IS sniper related. Well, no joke.

Thanks! Yes, it appears that Newsday printed this information. He was described as of Yugoslav origin, but it was noted that he would have to have French citizenship to serve in their military.

CNN reports witnesses say they only heard one shot...

I heard on WTOP that they were asked not to tell which hospital the victim was being taken to.

That strikes me as a strange request, unless it is a part of an anti-terrorism plan so as to not give opportunity for a bombing or the like.

Of course, I'm probably delusional.

Channel 4 saying the 200 feet from the bus to the tree line and now the reporter on the scene says there is not too much of a drop off (now looks like 5 to 10 feet down)

I tend to lean towards the terrorist explanation ir the French guy. On Fox someone mentioned someone is demanding money. That doesn't mean it is the sniper. Wasn't in the Tylenol case where they could never prove that the guy demanding money was the one who planted the poison?

I wish the cops would release the race of the wounded victims. But, as far as I can tell, there are no Orientals (and there are loads in the area). Indians are not labled racially Oriental. Most victims seem to be middle-aged white males.

First time for that I can EVER remember, but we ARE back in Moose country. The hospital confirmed, themselves, they do have the victim, and will hold a press conference asap. Thank God for someone with good sense. I certainly understand why the names are not released, don't have a problem with that, ever. Basic information does NOT hurt and does help the public/us. Seeing the small area roped off on MSNBC-reporter says it is no more than a 200 foot area. It's also an odd shape.

Someone saying it was a man boarding the bus who was shot when he was on the top step where you pay your fare. Says this was turn-around point for bus, and that bus may have been stopped here a while. Still don't know if it was driver or not.

And if the bus driver was standing on the top step or on the floor of the bus at the doorway, he'd be in a raised position, unlike someone in a car.

They are saying chest wound, so far. They've had to find out which hospital he went to themselves. The cops won't even tell how he was shot, from where, or what victim was doing when shot.

Actually, one of the early victims, a man filling up the tank in his taxi, was Indian (dot, not feather).
