FR has changed the donation site and all monthly donors who wish to continue should re-input their information on the new site. Badjoe last ran the FR support monthlies September 20th. It is now October 21 so you are now out of danger of being hit twice in one month. : )
If you have not gone to the new site and re-entered your information your monthly has stopped.
Now I know you don't want that to happen it, so please go HERE to re-up.
The next Freepathon will come sooner and last longer if you don't do this now.
Please Freepmail Badjoe or e-mail him at Badjoe@socal.rr.com with your real name after you have done this so he can remove you from the old file.

Is paranoia addictive?
Absolutely not. I thought she put a very fine point on it.
Why she continues to mistrust a man who's served this site in an exemplary fashion for several years is beyond me. I find it unconscionable she would find it necessary to question his integrity or make inquiries into that which is none of her business on a thread clearly posted in Breaking News, having to do with a critical support function of the site and almost certainly posted with Jim's knowledge and approval.
To refresh your recollection, she jumped on the thread at No. 9 with a challenge to Badjoe:
There are 301 Freepers who to my knowledge have not done this yet.Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you no longer have anything to do with the fund raising, how would you know that?
When Willa very kindly and s-l-o-w-ly tried to explain again to Howlin, she replied:
Maybe I'm missing something here, but if his list is no longer valid, I don't see why anybody would need to contact him to tell him they have signed up with the new payment plan.
Her language is crystal clear and evidences the fact (1) she can't understand the simplest of posts (Badjoe is no longer to be contacted re: monthlies and had nothing to do with the 10/20 run; his "to my knowledge" guestimates were based on those who had during the switch); (2) her line of inquiry has no legitimate purpose and lies strictly with regard to what Badjoe does or does not know and what record he does or no longer retains.
Had there been no specific allegations flung about on the forum with regard to Badjoe's complicity in leaking private information to damage FReepers, er, "Bush Supporters", I likely would have just attributed her post to senility and left it alone.
Unfortunately, that's not the case.
I have a lot of respect for Badjoe, I've "slung hash" with the guy selling FReepstuff, done my best to answer his every call to buy a few bumperstickers over the years and believe that his having a public and frank disagreement with Jim is no reason whatsoever to begin yammering and gossiping in an effort to malign him with conspiracy theories.
It's also quite possible that the confirmed existence of those quite willing to follow through on their vendettas in a personal fashion such that they imperil the livelihoods and families of posters they've targeted for character asassination also comes into play here.
The last thing I want to see is a good man like Joe personally attacked or ruined after all this time simply because a few shrews and their nancy boys on the forum have decided Badjoe's gone to "The Dark Side".
Just as you and others feel compelled to pop in and speak up whenever you feel one of your fellows is being unjustly maligned, I spoke up in defense of Badjoe. We've certainly had our own disagreements in the past but but respect the guy and am grateful for all he's done for the site. The very idea he is in the least bit untrustworthy or possessed of a mind to damage Jim or the site is absurd and hateful.
It's is not I who have a problem with paranoia but those who find every criticism of the site some personal attack against Jim or the leadership and every disagreement with management some indication of infection by "The Dark Side" ... in much the same way they see every criticism of the President's decisions a "hate crime" or lack of support for the Government's clearly unconstitutional and unprecedented actions some failure to be "patriotic enough".
