A Few of FR's Finest..... ......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001
So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

SOME OF FR'S FINEST PROFILE PAGES #5 SPECIAL EDITION-SOME OF FR'S FINEST INTERNATIONAL FREEPERS' PROFILE PAGES
Many Freepers have taken advantage of the opportunity to create a Profile Page. The results of these creations are often illuminating, humorous, inspirational, artistic or biographic, just to mention a few descriptive words.
Below are some randomly selected FR's Finest Profile Pages. There are, of course, many other FR's Finest Profile Pages worthy of featuring, and we will be featuring them in future editions of Some of FR's Finest Profile Pages. If you have a Profile Page you would like to share, or if you come across a Profile Page that you want to bring to our attention, you know the drill - freepmail Billie, Mama_Bear, Dansangel or myself.
In the meantime, take a look at Some of FR's Finest Profile Pages #5 - Special International Edition.
Knighthawk's Profile Page consists of an essay by him in which he tells of his love for America-a love that he has had since the days of Reagan. He is a citizen of the Netherlands and this is very poignant and brought tears to my eyes.
Shaggy eel is a delightful poster from New Zealand. He changes his Profile Page regularly with interesting photographs of both himself and his homeland. This is a fun page.
Frednorman's Profile Page contains the following statement: "Norwegian by birth, American in spirit." It also contains a link to his very sophisticated and jam packed web page which has interesting articles and thoughts.
Junichiro Koizumi's Profile Page contains a link to his Web Page, which is printed in Japanese. What makes it interesting to those of us who are not fluent in this language are the links which contain some lovely photogaphs.
a-Turk's Profile Page also brought tears to my eyes. He is a Muslim, born in Turkey, currently living in America. In addition to a moving mini-essay, he has included numerous links providing information on Turkey. Happygal's Profile Page consists of some cute comments, graphics and photographs of the sport of hurling. She is from Ireland and appears to be a Happygal, having produced a happy, upbeat Profile Page.

Opinions by our own 'King of Ping'
The guy's good, folks!
Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me an FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer |

A big thanks to your brother, grandpa and aunt for their military service. Do you have any photos of them that we can include in the Military Collage? If so, just freep Billie and she will tell you how to get them to her.

Yes, and there is no way to submit anyone else unless you have an internet server. A simple

Thank you for the poignant essay you wrote and have posted on your Profile Page...
To: Cobra64
I am sorry, I do not understand your question....Anything that works on the FR Forum in general should work on the Finest Thread in specific.
If you have a Profile Page you want us to feature, just FReepmail me the name and I will check it out..

Good Morning to everyone! Just a quick "Hello" to let y'all know I'm thinking of you.
I've been hard at work since 6 a.m. and already it's shaping up to be a dreadful Monday at the "salt mines." Don't know how often I'll be back to check in. :-(
Great presentation, daisy! I can't wait to be able to check out all of the interesting profile pages!
God Bless you ladtx for remembering some of our finest heroes. May God hold them in His loving embrace and give comfort to their families.
{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}} to everyone! Back to the mounds of paperwork I'm buried in......
