A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/10/02

Speaking from the Roosevelt Room at the White House, President Bush thanked the House for passing an Iraq resolution by a vote of 296-133. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle shocked many today as he crossed party lines that he had drawn a few weeks ago, and decided to back the President's plan. The White House also announced today that Bush will be traveling a lot between now and November 5th, traveling to key election states such as South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan and Florida. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

What did you think of today's Montana news? The seat wasn't in play, and rather than flaunt the laws of Montana in a NJ Soprano Court move, looks like the GOP is going to play by the rules. Wish Racicot was interested.

Take everything out of your purse, Mama. Then put back *only* what you absolutely need. My purse is as light as a feather.

I thought he sounded tired as well. Do you remember the horrid Bill Clinton in the Monica press conference saying he had to go back to work for the American people, which he never did. This man does and it has to be exhausting.

Thanks for the dose-what a day this has been!

McLynnan-hehe-Dashole did appear rather unhappy as he spoke of his support. But the ones that REALLY gagged me were Biden and Klinton's speeches. Talk about sick people. Geeeez.

I would normally be appalled that a Senator of 30 years- a friggin' UNITED STATES Senator- would run an ad that so overtly and obviously sends one message while pretending to send another, and uses background music with the video clips shown that is so considerably 'suspect (you can see the ad at Drudge), but then I remember that this Senator is a Democrat and nothing is beneath him. I am stunned by it all.

I heard a bit about that on Rush while I was driving today. Evidently the ads tried to insinuate that Taylor was gay! Ah yes...the dems are the free thinkers here. What a slam to the gay community if they try to use being gay as a negative in a campaign commercial. If the GOP tried this, all the gay groups would be screaming bloody murder.

I heard that the GOP may try a write-in candidate but they, evidently, are not going to the courts to try to change things. Nice contrast.

Lately when I see Daschle I laugh. He's become a good stand up comedian, don't you think?

Do you remember how everyone complained that Dubya wasn't using the bully pulpit enough?

I don't think I have ever seen the Bully Pulpit used any better than George W. Bush has. He used it without getting negative, He used it without dividing, He used it by taking his case to the Ammerican people, He used it with dignity and honor and the vast majority of the American people support this President

We are so blessed to have this fine man as president. He's doing the right thing by taking on Sadam. He did a great job too with the dock workers strike! I work in the shipping industry and it was tearing me to bits to hear my co-workers slamming my president and calling him names. God bless this man and God bless America!

I dunno about the al gore thingie-only 48% say they would feel less safe if al gore were president now? That floors me. Imho, our nation would be in terribe trouble if that nutcase were president during this terrorism era.

Daschle reminds me of a spoiled little boy of the wussie variety...holding his arms at his side he raises his right arm only to the waist only to slap it down again attempting to make a point...if that doesn't work he stomps his widdo foot.

I saw a little of Biden on C-Span earlier. Did Hillary speak, or are you referring to her co-president?

Wow. This is so GREAT!! And 72% approval for Iraq! Way to go W.

I don't mean to be harping on this, but he needs to give a good, solid speech on the economy. The people trust him and if he speaks, they might not be so easily swayed by the dems malicious lies. He has a solid position, his arguments are good and he should just go for it. Maybe he's holding out until right before the election. I have learned not to second guess my president. He seems to know what he is doing.

Rintense - thank you for this fabulous daily thread. And thank you so much for your offer to place a link to the USO Canteen FReeper Style on it. Both threads share common goals and both groups of FReepers respect and admire our President. I don't post to you every night but I do lurk. As you know I recently started posting the link to the Day in the Life thread each night at the Canteen so the thousands of troops who lurk there can see their Commander in Chief in action. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Jen
