President Bush began the day by meeting with senior members of Congress, who later announced that there will be a resolution regarding Iraq before the elections. Bush then met with a group of cancer survivors, including Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, and announced an increase in cancer research funding. The President also met with Czech Republic President Vaclav Havel. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Re; #19: We met (and sang for) Vaclav Havel a couple of years ago at St. Thomas College in the Sin Twitties. He's almost as short as little Tommy Dashole, and he is a very uninspiring speaker (unless the topic didn't thrill him that day). It was a very interesting experience. Spent the WHOLE DAY in my Czech costume... oy.

I've always wondered why being the first post is so popular... Me too! I also am trying to recall when that started and who the culprit was! :) Okay, confess someone, who started this contest to be first, which quickly was followed by being in the first/top 10?

Rintense...the minute I open your thread each day....I just sit here grinning and feeling so very good that G W B is our President.
This thread always is so very uplifting. Thanks a million.

I'm wearin' my orange tie. Orange is a color of communication...I am sure I am the only one here who thinks so, but I LOVE it when Dubya wears an orange tie.

Orange is my favorite color (actually more of an Orange Sherbet, really), and Periwinkle is my second fav.
I love it when he wears it too - we'll just have to think of it as his way of saying hello, and thanks for your support, to Mtngirl and NordP...what do yah say?

I read that thread and it is unbelievable. There is no way in the world those people should be electing democrats. They overwhelming support private accounts (Social Security), the 2nd amendment, oppose abortion, want choices in their prescription drug programs, and want the tax cuts to be permanent. They support all this and yet, John Thune, the Republican challenging Johnson, is in a dead heat. Go figure. I really don't understand voters sometimes.

Uh oh, I see your little name, and then I remember that I forgot again! I am hopelessly blonde A!Hm...what are you talking about here? ..... OH! The Bush Babe Bod-a-thon!
Well it was a pretty small group tonight. There were only four of us who were able to make it, and the four didn't all show up at the same time.
We are making great progress though! One of these days, gramho12 will have to post how well we have been doing! (She's the keeper of the records)

It could be Halloween! Opps, no couldn't be. Today I went to the mall, and I'll be darned if it isn't Christmas! Spent a few minutes looking at the beautifully decorated Christmas trees! ( I am not kidding!)
