Vanity Opinion: Free Republic to Maintain Present Course - Call for More Turns on the Screws.
Patriots and Politics ^ | September 6, 2002 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 09/06/2002 4:36:11 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Just in case there is any lingering doubt, my intention for Free Republic is to maintain the present course. The course charted is, IMHO, the direct line to freedom.

Our mission, as stated on our front page and elsewhere is, "...to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America."

And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!

The people who are killing freedom in our country just as they are all around the world are the leftists or marxists. The leftists/marxists dominate the communist parties, the socialist parties and the American Democrat Party.

The leftist/marxist infested Democrat Party has controlled all or most of our government for what? Sixty, seventy, eighty years or more of the last hundred?

The populists, progressives, socialists, marxists, leftists, liberals, Democrats, or whatever label you place on them are the people responsible for the slave tax, aka, the income tax, the "New Deal," the Ponzi social security scheme, the "Great Society," the socialist medicare nightmare, the welfare state, environmentalnazism, feminazism, high taxes, high spending, weakening and demoralizing our military, etc., etc.

They're also responsible for abridging/restricting/curtailing many of our constitutionally guaranteed rights, such as the right to keep and bear arms, the right to freely practice our religions, the right to freedom of association, while at the same time inventing a whole new class of extra constitutional leftist "rights" such as the "right to choose," i.e., legalized abortion, "gay rights," the "separation of church and state," etc.

In addition, they are responsible for "socializing," i.e., implementing government forced and taxpayer funded education, health care, insurance and retirement programs.

They've completely taken over our our education systems where they indoctrinate our youth with their immoral and Godless socialist dogma. They've dummied-down, demoralized and destroyed our society and our traditional family units and value systems.

After all this, to me, they are the party mostly to blame for the erosion of our Constitution, the destruction of our society, the loss of our national sovereignty, the loss of our states rights, and the wholesale corruption of our government.

Thus, as I see it, the best course of action to right these wrongs is to continue removing the liberals, socialists and leftists from our government as fast as we can. Eliminating the liberal influence automatically raises the level of conservatism in our government and its institutions.

We eliminate them by replacing them with non Democrats. This means, for the most part, supporting and voting for the Republican candidate in each race whether it be federal, state or local.

The Libertarians, Reformers, and other third parties know they cannot win national races. They do a great job writing, debating, and fighting for our constitutional rights, but they are not effective enough to win races. God bless them, they do not have and never will have the numbers necessary to win.

I fully support President Bush and the war on terrorism. We either fight this war now, and fight it over there and on our terms, or we can wait and fight it here on our soil. I never want to see a repeat of 9/11!

I never again want to see American blood running down our streets. The primary function of the federal government is to defend our borders, and, in this fight, that is exactly what we are doing.

I urge all conservatives and freedom loving Americans to go to the polls in November and give the President and the Congress a mandate to swing America away from the left. The pendulum has been way off to the left for way too many years. It's time to swing it our way for a change. It's time to crank a few more turns to the screws.

How do you explain John McCain, the arrogant pr**k?

Normally, I'd jump in here and say something about the voters of Arizona; but then I remember who MY senator is and I decide just to shut up. :-)

Careful, Pardek. Howlin's a doll and a good friend.........but she's deadly with a camera (or has her cohorts use it) and can see to it that the most ungodly images of you wind up online.

Of course, when she did this nefarious thing to me, my family all looked at it and said ".....well, yeah; that's you........uh-huh.......yeah, you're really that fat 'n' all................uh-huh......ugly, hell, Dad, it flatters ya............yeah........sorry, but the truth hurts, Dad............"

To this day, I have no idea how she got to 'em.......................!!!!!

I agree with you completely!

The problem, IMO, is that over decades the liberals have taken over and moved things incrementally their way. Now as we look back, there is a huge chasm ..... but it happened by tiny little chunks of soil being worn away at a time.

Though most FReepers see this, the average citizen doesn't ...... and we have to move things back the other way in small enough increments that each one will be acceptable.

We can do it ..... they proved that! But we have to pull together, as they did ..... and be determined but patient.

I'm tellin you guys in the deep blue lands ....

You are NEVER going to turn states like Taxachusettes and Kalifornicate around. They are pulling further away from reality every day. Hell just the birth rate of the gubmint teat suckers is running away from you . Add in immigration and more teat suckers flooding in ( in the case of Kalifornicate especially ) and the war is lost. Over.

If ten million conservatives would move here to Texas we could start a fed tax revolt and a secession movement. We could shock the South and West into action and agreement. Who knows what would happen but at least we would get something done.

I'm not at all advocating civil war. Merely mass civil disobedience. We would simply stop paying fed taxes and form our own nation. Or perhaps just the tax revolt would be enough. Without we honest productive conservatives the blue lands would fall apart. Without our taxes they would implode. The best thing you can do is get OUT of the blue lands.

As it is we are just losing ground. Gradually sliding into irreversible decay and decline. If the world had a truly constitutional republic to lead it by example perhaps real change could be effected.

We need conservative judges. We need to block the leftist/sovereignty robbing treaties. We need to cut taxes, cut spending, cut regulation and cut government while maintaining a strong military and a strong national defense. These are my goals.

Fantastic post sir.

Though I believe the average Freeper has a higher I.Q. than a random person in the populace, This fact is lost on 90% on the forum.

You know that game where one stands at home plate, leans over with their forehead placed upon the end of the handle of an upright bat, placed directly over homeplate, spins around in a circle 7, 8, even 9 times without lifting their head from the bat handle, and then simply must run to 1st base?

Sometimes, when I read your posts........

The war was already on our soil before 9/11 and it is still here. We are not defending our borders here and that is going to turn the war on terrorism into a joke just like the war on drugs.

Here is a valid question for you or many here on FR...

What is the difference between "law" ie, "rule of law", and "freedom" as in the liberatarian way of thinking.

I am not a big government man at all. I am for lower taxes and personal responsibility. I am a government minimalist in many ways, and believe government should not be in other areas at all. At the same time though, government, and law, has a role. The question I have though, is where is the line drawn?

Lets take banking for example, this is just one example though, there are many more. Banks have all kinds of rules and regs... to protect the consumer. During the 1920s banks were allowed to put money wherever they wanted, and say whatever they wanted to...then they all had major problems. Now though, due to rules, banks are much safer and the public is much more protected.

If you ask any true blue liberatarian though they will shout, "the market will take care of itself", and go almost totally against anything government. They assume that natural progression of things automatically sorts out all problems.

I am not for big government, but I am not anti-government.

Where is the line?

Well......I cancelled mine a while back for reasons that need not be discussed now, but........I will seriously consider resuming them if things settle down around here and we at least appear to be united in accomplishing something positive.

However, I'll have to wait until I see who the "keeper of the cards" will be. I have to feel comfortable with who has my CC number. Maybe I'll just mail checks.

My mother's cousin was one of the best judges San Juan county ever had. Absolutely no atny training.

There are several ways around that problem. Judges of her type took some basic courses.

There could also be librarian types who specialized in the basics of what was needed for major areas of legal decisions to advise the judges. The judges could become acquainted with essentially staff persons and some supervising monitor could insure a balanced presentation of historical cases etc. to the judge prior to the trial or case being presented.

Whatever the challenges to overcome the problem you mention, I believe the benefits far outweigh those challenges.

Thanks for your comment.
