The global strategic threat (Joseph Farah warns of WWIII)
WorldNetDaily ^ | July 23, 2002 | Joe Farah

"We're going to have something in the way of a major nuclear event in this country," Warren Buffett, the second wealthiest man in the world, told stockholders of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. just 11 weeks ago. "It will happen. Whether it will happen in 10 years or 10 minutes, or 50 years ... it's virtually a certainty."

What does Warren Buffett, whose major business is insurance, know that you don't know?

He probably knows a great deal more than I know. But, because of my position, I'm blessed with intelligence sources. I'm also cursed with them.

I don't like to be an alarmist, but withholding information is not in my nature as a newsman. People turn to me for my analysis and my insight into current events. Based on what I know, I believe the next 12 months will be life-changing for many of us. I believe we will see dramatic developments and experience horrors that will make Sept. 11 pale by comparison.

You've read and heard a great deal about a likely U.S. attack on Iraq. It is coming. I am not giving away any state secrets here. Saddam Hussein knows it is coming, and he is preparing for it. Shortly, some time in the next year, the U.S. will launch an all-out attack on Iraq designed to finish the war we should have finished a decade ago. The objective will be to hunt down Saddam Hussein and his inner circle and kill them all, while simultaneously locating and destroying his growing stockpile of weapons of mass destruction.

Iraq has nuclear weapons and will be in a position to mass produce them within a year. Iraq has enormous stockpiles of biological weapons, most hidden beneath mosques and palaces. Iraq has chemical weapons. Iraq has delivery systems with a 650-kilometer range and, within two years, will be producing its own inter-continental ballistic missiles with a range of 3,000 kilometers. Iraq has terrorists prepared to bring weapons of mass destruction into major cities in the United States and throughout the West. According to my intelligence sources, Baghdad is waiting for the inevitable U.S. attack to launch its suicide bombers and missiles.

When the U.S. attacks, a new fiendish, apocalyptic wave of mass destruction and terrorism will begin. The longer the U.S. waits, the more the threat and Iraq's capabilities increase.

The attack on Iraq, when it comes, will be severe. It will involve hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops. It will make Afghanistan look like a tea party by comparison. It will make the Persian Gulf War look like a dress rehearsal. There will be heavy casualties. Iraq will be hit hard. Casualties will be heavy – including civilians. There's no way around it.

This war will not just involve Iraq and the United States. Iran will be involved. Syria will be involved. Other Muslim states are likely to be involved. International terrorists will be unleashed from all corners of the earth.

And this war will also come home, my intelligence sources say. Suicide bombers are already here – just waiting for their orders to deploy hand-carried weapons of mass destruction in the United States. Israel and Europe will also be hit hard.

Yes, what I am describing sounds like World War III. That's what it will be. Sound like Armageddon? It may well be.

As I said, I'm not giving away any state secrets here. The U.S. government is making the necessary plans to fight this war – with one exception. It is not preparing to protect Americans from the destructive wrath of the coming attacks.

Therefore, it's up to Americans themselves to be as prepared as they can possibly be for the coming holocaust. We're on our own. The government is making plans for the continuity of government. It's up to us to ensure that there is a continuity of America, a continuity of our families, a continuity of life.

There are obvious reasons the government is not telling you what I am telling you. It would be devastating to the economy. People might panic. And, as I said, the government can't protect you – or won't.

Could I be wrong? Could my sources be wrong? I surely hope so. I sincerely and fervently pray they are wrong. But the threat is real. Things could get very ugly real fast.

I've been asking myself the question "Is George W. Bush acting goofy or does he know something we don't?" I've come to the conclusion that he (and a very small circle around him) does in fact know something. And what is that thing that they know: the likely capabilities of sleeper agents already planted here. I think that knowledge is what made John Ashcroft turn white when he was informed and keeps Dick Cheney deep underground. My guess is that Bush and his circle weighed the options and concluded that the damage that we will suffer now if we attack Iraq is miniscule compared to what would happen down the road if we did nothing.

I would be MOST interested in seeing support for this.

Your wish is my command.

QUESTION OF ATTRIBUTION
By ROY RIVENBURG

Inasmuch, however, as the kingdom of Gyges did not extend to the areas of Meshech and Tubal, as is implied by Ezekiel 38:2 with respect to the kingdom of Gog, there is a problem with assuming that Gog is identical with Gyges, the similarity of the names notwithstanding.
-- Edwin Yamauchi, in his 1982 book "Foes from the Northern Frontier"

However, since the kingdom of Gyges did not extend to the areas of Meschech and Tubal, as implied by Ezekiel 38:2 with respect to the kingdom of Gog, there is a significant problem in assuming that Gog is related to Gyges.
-- Hal Lindsey and Chuck Missler, in their 1992 manuscript, "The Magog Factor"

Words can mean whatever you want. In this case, Christian authors Hal Lindsey and Chuck Missler make their points with the above passage and numerous others that are virtually word for word (and without attribution) from a book written by one of their critics, historian Edwin Yamauchi. "It's kind of a sophomoric plagiarism, it seems," Yamauchi said after comparison passages had been read to him over the phone. "If they're not acknowledging where they got it from, that is rather dishonest. I'm sorry to hear that."

Yamauchi's book makes the case that Lindsey and others have misinterpreted Bible prophecies as referring to Russia. Lindsey and Missler's 70-page report -- available in manuscript form for $14.95 and scheduled for publication as a book -- argues otherwise. As much as 25% of Lindsey's manuscript appears similar to Yamauchi's book, which is now out of print, but the only reference to Yamauchi is near the end of a six-page bibliography. Even footnotes in the Lindsey manuscript are identical to those in Yamauchi's book, again without attribution.

Lindsey's manager, Paul Krikac, said the Torrance-based minister and author was "out of town" -- in Orange County -- and didn't have time to comment. Missler was also reportedly unavailable and didn't return messages seeking his comments.

Krikac said Missler had written the passages in question, but conceded that Lindsey is responsible for the overall manuscript: "His (Lindsey's) butt is on the line."

________________________________________________________________________________

Missler plagiarized a second time when he authored (so to speak) The Magog Invasion. I saw passages of his book compared to identical passages from Yamauchi's book. Missler plagiarized over half of one chapter from Yamauchi's book, include the footnotes. He later apologized for the plagiarism and blamed his staff.

For whatever reason, lately I have had a feeling of dread. I really can't describe it...

Been feeling the same way for the last month or so and I can't really verbalize it either.

Is Nazi Germany on the rise? Where?

Iraq, Iran, Syria, N. Korea, etc. Same ideology of murder and tyranny.

Hmm.
Iraq,Syria - secular authoritarian regime having an objective to modernise and westernize their countries.
Iran - religious Islamist regime having an objective to modernize the country without losing the religious identity.
North Korea - a Communist isolated country with Stalinist features bent on survival in face of the prosperous South.

I am sorry, I do not see resemblance to the Nazi Germany - a powerful industralised country committed to the securing the world supremacy of Nordic race.

Sorry, but Ethiopia's communist government has since been overthrown, so you'll need to account for that.

The talk was several years old. I Don't know Dr. Lipkens answer for it now. Is ethiopia a predominantly moslem country now?

The "Russian invasion of Israel" theorists need to put down their Bibles and look at a globe. If it's not a "Russian-backed Arab invasion of Israel," it ain't gonna happen, because the Caucasus mountains and Turkey (NATO ally) are between Russia and Israel, as is a lot of other stuff.

That just means that other things have to happen before the invasion. One such thing is for the US to be taken out of the way. Since we are still here you can bet that the time isn't right yet.

"How about considering the likely fact that the bible is just an outstanding novel written by a bunch of people looking for the reasons for their existance??"

That would make it even more miraculous. Everything it has predicted has come true thus far....................

Yeah, and everything Nastradamus predicted has come true thus far too.

This kind of "Truth" is in the eye of the beholder.

Thanks for your post. Sounds like they got Missler and Lindsey dead-to-rights. Whether that impeaches the information I've gotten through him (as a conduit) I couldn't say. I'll have to look more closely at what his detractors have to say. Thanks again.
