"We're going to have something in the way of a major nuclear event in this country," Warren Buffett, the second wealthiest man in the world, told stockholders of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. just 11 weeks ago. "It will happen. Whether it will happen in 10 years or 10 minutes, or 50 years ... it's virtually a certainty."
What does Warren Buffett, whose major business is insurance, know that you don't know?
He probably knows a great deal more than I know. But, because of my position, I'm blessed with intelligence sources. I'm also cursed with them.
I don't like to be an alarmist, but withholding information is not in my nature as a newsman. People turn to me for my analysis and my insight into current events. Based on what I know, I believe the next 12 months will be life-changing for many of us. I believe we will see dramatic developments and experience horrors that will make Sept. 11 pale by comparison.
You've read and heard a great deal about a likely U.S. attack on Iraq. It is coming. I am not giving away any state secrets here. Saddam Hussein knows it is coming, and he is preparing for it. Shortly, some time in the next year, the U.S. will launch an all-out attack on Iraq designed to finish the war we should have finished a decade ago. The objective will be to hunt down Saddam Hussein and his inner circle and kill them all, while simultaneously locating and destroying his growing stockpile of weapons of mass destruction.
Iraq has nuclear weapons and will be in a position to mass produce them within a year. Iraq has enormous stockpiles of biological weapons, most hidden beneath mosques and palaces. Iraq has chemical weapons. Iraq has delivery systems with a 650-kilometer range and, within two years, will be producing its own inter-continental ballistic missiles with a range of 3,000 kilometers. Iraq has terrorists prepared to bring weapons of mass destruction into major cities in the United States and throughout the West. According to my intelligence sources, Baghdad is waiting for the inevitable U.S. attack to launch its suicide bombers and missiles.
When the U.S. attacks, a new fiendish, apocalyptic wave of mass destruction and terrorism will begin. The longer the U.S. waits, the more the threat and Iraq's capabilities increase.
The attack on Iraq, when it comes, will be severe. It will involve hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops. It will make Afghanistan look like a tea party by comparison. It will make the Persian Gulf War look like a dress rehearsal. There will be heavy casualties. Iraq will be hit hard. Casualties will be heavy including civilians. There's no way around it.
This war will not just involve Iraq and the United States. Iran will be involved. Syria will be involved. Other Muslim states are likely to be involved. International terrorists will be unleashed from all corners of the earth.
And this war will also come home, my intelligence sources say. Suicide bombers are already here just waiting for their orders to deploy hand-carried weapons of mass destruction in the United States. Israel and Europe will also be hit hard.
Yes, what I am describing sounds like World War III. That's what it will be. Sound like Armageddon? It may well be.
As I said, I'm not giving away any state secrets here. The U.S. government is making the necessary plans to fight this war with one exception. It is not preparing to protect Americans from the destructive wrath of the coming attacks.
Therefore, it's up to Americans themselves to be as prepared as they can possibly be for the coming holocaust. We're on our own. The government is making plans for the continuity of government. It's up to us to ensure that there is a continuity of America, a continuity of our families, a continuity of life.
There are obvious reasons the government is not telling you what I am telling you. It would be devastating to the economy. People might panic. And, as I said, the government can't protect you or won't.
Could I be wrong? Could my sources be wrong? I surely hope so. I sincerely and fervently pray they are wrong. But the threat is real. Things could get very ugly real fast.
I would not trust Missler. I saw documentation that proved Missler committed plagiarism while writing Magog Invasion and his newletter. In addition, he was one of the guys that used the Y2K scare to make a ton of money.
They buy Russian weapons with petrodollars--but they are not allies. Word is that the Russian Army is getting extremely PO'd at the Russian Trade Ministry--lots of stuff that gets sold to Iran keeps turning up in Chechnya, in the hands of Islamists out to kill Russians.
Why is this country so unbeleivably naive. From the President on down, everybody seems to think that a war with Hussien will be a picnic.
Does anyone, with one brain in their head, think that Hussein will sit there and be destroyed.
I will quarantee you he has people in place all over the world, just waiting for GW to make the first move.
And the stupid part of it is, what defence do we have against them.
Don't worry about the stock market people, if GW starts this war, it won't matter one bit.
Exactly! Ironically, if we invade Iraq to prevent Hussein from using WMD, we will probably provoke him to use WMD.
I recently particiapted in a Boy Scout summer camp at a local junior college. I helped with the Space Exploration merit badge. On the day I presented a talk on the ISS the boys had just come from their Indian Lore session. I thought that it was somewhat ironic that they should be carrying their bows and arrows into the Space Exploration Class. I lectured them on the development of the Space Station from von Braun's wheel to the ISS which is a work in progress.
I told them that our society is based on science and technology. Our political and cultural system is based on science and law and freedom. If we remind our children that they stand on the shoulders of giants and should reach for the stars, then Islam will wither and die just like the communist system. Islam and communism will/have died because within them they contained the seeds of their destruction. Marx had it wrong. We don't have those seeds because we're constantly planting and reseeding!
What has removed modern day Christianity from the battle is the modern day apostasy of mainline "Christianity". We rapture-believing (I won't get into the pre-vs-post trib question) fundamentalists are a small segment of American protestantism, although I'll grant you that we are loud beyond our numbers. The mainline Protestant denominations have adopted a non-Christian social gospel which is being spread world-wide by the pagan World Council of Churches, and have abandoned the true Christian faith as it was once delivered to the saints. A survey of today's mainline Protestant ministers by one of the Christian magazines, I don't remember which one, found that the vast, overwhelming majority of those worthies don't believe the bible is the inspired word of God, don't believe in the virgin birth, the resurrection, the miracles of Jesus, salvation by faith, or the literal return of Christ to earth. How can unbelieving pastors lead other unbelievers to faith in Jesus Christ? How can unbelieving church members have a positive moral influence on society or the governance of the nation? They both have an influence alright, but not for the better.
I'm an independent, fundamentalist Baptist so I can't speak for Catholics or Orthodox Christians, but I have never known a practicing Catholic who was as apostate as many of today's mainline protestants are. Most mainline Protestants I know are nothing more than once-a-year "Christians" who live like the devil the rest of the year and expect God to reward them richly for having been confirmed and/or baptized into the "church" at some point. Someone who takes his/her Christianity seriously will live it out in their daily lives, and I don't see much of that happening today among mainline "Christians". Little wonder that. Given the state of unbelief pervading the mainline clergy, what else should we expect from the laity?
Someday many modern day "Christians", pastors and laymen alike, will stand before Jesus and he will say to them, "I would that thou were either cold or hot. So, because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, 'I am rich and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing' and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked".
I don't know for a certainty whether or not the USA is mentioned in prophecy, but I tend to think it isn't. America was given the best opportunity to be an example to the world of a truly Christian nation of any nation that has ever existed. But we traded away that opportunity for a mess of worldly pottage, and I believe the result will be the eventual dissipation of the power and influence in the world we now enjoy.
BTW, any and all may feel free to ridicule and flame all you want, I'm quite used to it by now. Some of our nominally "Christian" neighbors are now shunning us and laughing behind our backs at our "fundy" beliefs. At a recent neighborhood dinner party we interrupted their foul-mouthed ridiculing of an absent Christian by admitting that we also believe in divine creation and disbelieve the absurd evolution theory. For a few looong seconds you could have heard the proverbial pin drop. I don't think there will be any invitations to future neighborhood events coming our way. And that's OK, we knew all along that believing in Jesus Christ has a price, and ridicule and scorn is a miniscule price compared to what Christians in other lands are paying. Our missionary daughter recently returned from a stay in eastern Africa, and there is much persecution of Christians taking place over there, as well as in many other places around the globe. One thing of which I am very certain, true Christians in America will pay a far, far higher price for their faith before Jesus returns.
Sorry, but Ethiopia's communist government has since been overthrown, so you'll need to account for that.
The "Russian invasion of Israel" theorists need to put down their Bibles and look at a globe. If it's not a "Russian-backed Arab invasion of Israel," it ain't gonna happen, because the Caucasus mountains and Turkey (NATO ally) are between Russia and Israel, as is a lot of other stuff. And an amphibious Russian invasion of Israel through the Dardanelles would be suicidal, for the Russians, not for the Israelis.
How so? Even if there are hundreds of terrorists here and they kill thousands of Americans, how is preventing more of the same "for nothing"?
Personally I think Farah is being a bit alarmist. He states that Iraq has nukes now as an established fact, when it is a supposition. And having them hidden away in a secret bunker is a far cry from having them here.
I think it's quite likely that we will see further terrorist attacks, but Farah is pushing a worst case scenario.
Well, naturally, I hope I am wrong, but think of this. On 9/11, we had more people killed at the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon, than were killed at Pearl Harbor. The terrorist attack does not seem to have even made a small dent in PC. In fact, it may be (though I do not know for sure) that PC is even stronger now than before the attack. If that attack can not even put a small crack in PC, what on earth will?
But ... but ... firearms are ILLEGAL in Washington, DC!! *snicker*
I would be MOST interested in seeing support for this.
