The global strategic threat (Joseph Farah warns of WWIII)
WorldNetDaily ^ | July 23, 2002 | Joe Farah

Posted on 07/22/2002 10:50:26 PM PDT by Michael2001

"We're going to have something in the way of a major nuclear event in this country," Warren Buffett, the second wealthiest man in the world, told stockholders of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. just 11 weeks ago. "It will happen. Whether it will happen in 10 years or 10 minutes, or 50 years ... it's virtually a certainty."

What does Warren Buffett, whose major business is insurance, know that you don't know?

He probably knows a great deal more than I know. But, because of my position, I'm blessed with intelligence sources. I'm also cursed with them.

I don't like to be an alarmist, but withholding information is not in my nature as a newsman. People turn to me for my analysis and my insight into current events. Based on what I know, I believe the next 12 months will be life-changing for many of us. I believe we will see dramatic developments and experience horrors that will make Sept. 11 pale by comparison.

You've read and heard a great deal about a likely U.S. attack on Iraq. It is coming. I am not giving away any state secrets here. Saddam Hussein knows it is coming, and he is preparing for it. Shortly, some time in the next year, the U.S. will launch an all-out attack on Iraq designed to finish the war we should have finished a decade ago. The objective will be to hunt down Saddam Hussein and his inner circle and kill them all, while simultaneously locating and destroying his growing stockpile of weapons of mass destruction.

Iraq has nuclear weapons and will be in a position to mass produce them within a year. Iraq has enormous stockpiles of biological weapons, most hidden beneath mosques and palaces. Iraq has chemical weapons. Iraq has delivery systems with a 650-kilometer range and, within two years, will be producing its own inter-continental ballistic missiles with a range of 3,000 kilometers. Iraq has terrorists prepared to bring weapons of mass destruction into major cities in the United States and throughout the West. According to my intelligence sources, Baghdad is waiting for the inevitable U.S. attack to launch its suicide bombers and missiles.

When the U.S. attacks, a new fiendish, apocalyptic wave of mass destruction and terrorism will begin. The longer the U.S. waits, the more the threat and Iraq's capabilities increase.

The attack on Iraq, when it comes, will be severe. It will involve hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops. It will make Afghanistan look like a tea party by comparison. It will make the Persian Gulf War look like a dress rehearsal. There will be heavy casualties. Iraq will be hit hard. Casualties will be heavy – including civilians. There's no way around it.

This war will not just involve Iraq and the United States. Iran will be involved. Syria will be involved. Other Muslim states are likely to be involved. International terrorists will be unleashed from all corners of the earth.

And this war will also come home, my intelligence sources say. Suicide bombers are already here – just waiting for their orders to deploy hand-carried weapons of mass destruction in the United States. Israel and Europe will also be hit hard.

Yes, what I am describing sounds like World War III. That's what it will be. Sound like Armageddon? It may well be.

As I said, I'm not giving away any state secrets here. The U.S. government is making the necessary plans to fight this war – with one exception. It is not preparing to protect Americans from the destructive wrath of the coming attacks.

Therefore, it's up to Americans themselves to be as prepared as they can possibly be for the coming holocaust. We're on our own. The government is making plans for the continuity of government. It's up to us to ensure that there is a continuity of America, a continuity of our families, a continuity of life.

There are obvious reasons the government is not telling you what I am telling you. It would be devastating to the economy. People might panic. And, as I said, the government can't protect you – or won't.

Could I be wrong? Could my sources be wrong? I surely hope so. I sincerely and fervently pray they are wrong. But the threat is real. Things could get very ugly real fast.

That and the rapture theology as well as the IRS granted 501-C3 status most churches now have has removed modern day Christianity from the battle.

Though I am unsure whether the rapture is Biblical, I agree that c3 status has made churches believe that they are unable to discuss anything of a political nature in church. And what is "political"? What the government and society says is political. Therefore the church has allowed the government and the world to dictate to them what they may and may not talk about.

There is absolutely no evidence that tis is true. In fact, all the evidence suggests that this statement is false.

DD. This is an exert from a thread called "The Russian Invasion of Israel" Search seems to be down so I can't link it.

Ezk 38:1 ¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

Verse 1-3
1. Gog is a person, the prince of Meshech and Tubal.
2. Mogog is a grandson of Noah who settled in the area of Russia south of Moscow.
3. Tubal is a grandson of Noah who settled in the area around Tobolsk (Siberia)
4. Meshach is a grandson of Noah who settled in the area around Moscow.

Several versions include Rosh in verse 1. Rosh is Russia in Hebrew.

God is against Gog but Gog is not the anti-Christ. Gog dies in the mountains of Israel. (Ezek 39:11) while the anti-christ is cast alive into the lake of fire.

Verse 5-6
1. Persia is Iran

2. Ethiopia is ethiopia (some versions call it Cush)
3. Libya is libya (some versions call it Put)
4. Gomer is in Eastern Europe (possibly eastern Germany region)
5. Togarmah is Turkey

I still have the source article that really digs into the invasion (and why it can't have happened yet) and can post it if you'd like.

"This scripture deas with the Russian invasion of Israel. Magog (vs 6) is the son of Noah and settled the area of Russia from moscow and south."

Well, a lot of folks believe Magog is Russia, but I wonder if that's not "projection" going back to the time when the most likely aggressor was Russia, when we were all certain that Russia was our enemy, and when Russia was the biggest supporter of the Arab states determined to destroy Israel. From what I can tell, the only thing specific is that this attack will come from the North. I don't believe in reading things into the Bible and I don't think it's all that important who Magog is, or what countries will attack Israel. What is important is that this will happen. I also believe it's not all that important because I have no plans on being around when it happens. Do you?

Would you feel confident that the current generation could fight and win a war against the 1940 Germans, and Japanese?

If they displayed nancy-boy traits as prominently as you do, yes, I would be worried. Fortunately, they don't.

That generation was hardened by the depression and the dustbowl years. We have been softened by Nintendo, and many other conveniences of the modern age.

May I suggest you go discuss how soft we are with those surviving members of the Iraqi Army and Republican Guard who were on active duty in January-February 1991? It's not as if life in America has gotten that dramatically softer in 11 years.

How can anyone walk through the streets of any urban community--be it anglo, black, hispanic--and not see that we are NOT soft. There are some tough, mean, pissed-off kids out there. And those would be the draftees.

It makes me scared, and I live here.

And I do agree that after one or two nuclear bombs, the public would pratically start rioting to demand immediate repeal of all PC laws

And, bear in mind that only the PC people are unarmed. The rest of us are prepared and ready. I need to refine my marksmanship, but at least I have an assault rifle, shotgun, handgun, concealed-carry pistol, and enough ammunition to take out a few hundred terrorists.

We better hope it is only one or two WMD's. If our supply lines breakdown and anarchy sets in, most of our pathetic population won't be able to survive. For that reason I've got survival gear ready to rip if I need to head for the woods and avoid the "uncapable" masses.

These are scary times. Not so much because of the threat, but because of our inability to prepare for it.

I'd very much like the source article if you would be so kind. The equivalencies you've made are roughly the limit of what I've been able to find on the subject...and I'm relying on Chuck Missler for that. I'm still not sure how I would fact-check such esoteric information anyway. I'm still waiting for the Kurds (who I understand are the modern day Medes) to make a move as they are significant players in the endtime scenarios.

You give this generation too little credit

You give this generato too MUCH credit. If you take a look at our generation as a whole, we don't have the mindset or REAL WORLD education to tackle a real threat. Most of our generation believes WORLD PEACE is obtainable and don't have a clue about what is going on. They are too busy dancing in night clubs, watching MTV, and generally avoiding politics at all costs. The left has prepared the sheep well. Remember, 37% of our geneation says they will avoid a draft at ALL COSTS. In other words, they don't care of Nazi Germany is preparing its second rising.

They saying used to be that you always have a few "bad" apples that spoil the lot. Well, I'd say now we have a few "good" apples amongst a spoiled lot.

If you don't believe me, run through any office and see how many 20 somethings know anything about what is going on in this country.

America is not found in Bible prophecy. It is either because we've become part of the NWO or it will be because we've been destroyed as a nation. Sobering thoughts.

How about considering the likely fact that the bible is just an outstanding novel written by a bunch of people looking for the reasons for their existance??

While, like you, I believe we'll be out of here before it happens, certain events that must happen before it happens give us a sense of the times we are in. If you look at the nations that will attack, Egypt is not listed. Egypt was the traditional enemy of Israel yet they will not attack. Why? The peace accord they now have with Israel. The attack couldn't have happened prior to that peace because then Egypt would have attacked. Likewise Syria is not on the list. God must have something in the works for that also.

Addendum.

Iraq isn't listed as an attacker either. I'd guess that Iraq will be totally neutralized prior to the attack. and world events are pointing to that happening soon

could it be?

Jer 51:46,47
46 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
