The global strategic threat (Joseph Farah warns of WWIII)
WorldNetDaily ^ | July 23, 2002 | Joe Farah

Posted on 07/22/2002 10:50:26 PM PDT by Michael2001

"We're going to have something in the way of a major nuclear event in this country," Warren Buffett, the second wealthiest man in the world, told stockholders of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. just 11 weeks ago. "It will happen. Whether it will happen in 10 years or 10 minutes, or 50 years ... it's virtually a certainty."

What does Warren Buffett, whose major business is insurance, know that you don't know?

He probably knows a great deal more than I know. But, because of my position, I'm blessed with intelligence sources. I'm also cursed with them.

I don't like to be an alarmist, but withholding information is not in my nature as a newsman. People turn to me for my analysis and my insight into current events. Based on what I know, I believe the next 12 months will be life-changing for many of us. I believe we will see dramatic developments and experience horrors that will make Sept. 11 pale by comparison.

You've read and heard a great deal about a likely U.S. attack on Iraq. It is coming. I am not giving away any state secrets here. Saddam Hussein knows it is coming, and he is preparing for it. Shortly, some time in the next year, the U.S. will launch an all-out attack on Iraq designed to finish the war we should have finished a decade ago. The objective will be to hunt down Saddam Hussein and his inner circle and kill them all, while simultaneously locating and destroying his growing stockpile of weapons of mass destruction.

Iraq has nuclear weapons and will be in a position to mass produce them within a year. Iraq has enormous stockpiles of biological weapons, most hidden beneath mosques and palaces. Iraq has chemical weapons. Iraq has delivery systems with a 650-kilometer range and, within two years, will be producing its own inter-continental ballistic missiles with a range of 3,000 kilometers. Iraq has terrorists prepared to bring weapons of mass destruction into major cities in the United States and throughout the West. According to my intelligence sources, Baghdad is waiting for the inevitable U.S. attack to launch its suicide bombers and missiles.

When the U.S. attacks, a new fiendish, apocalyptic wave of mass destruction and terrorism will begin. The longer the U.S. waits, the more the threat and Iraq's capabilities increase.

The attack on Iraq, when it comes, will be severe. It will involve hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops. It will make Afghanistan look like a tea party by comparison. It will make the Persian Gulf War look like a dress rehearsal. There will be heavy casualties. Iraq will be hit hard. Casualties will be heavy – including civilians. There's no way around it.

This war will not just involve Iraq and the United States. Iran will be involved. Syria will be involved. Other Muslim states are likely to be involved. International terrorists will be unleashed from all corners of the earth.

And this war will also come home, my intelligence sources say. Suicide bombers are already here – just waiting for their orders to deploy hand-carried weapons of mass destruction in the United States. Israel and Europe will also be hit hard.

Yes, what I am describing sounds like World War III. That's what it will be. Sound like Armageddon? It may well be.

As I said, I'm not giving away any state secrets here. The U.S. government is making the necessary plans to fight this war – with one exception. It is not preparing to protect Americans from the destructive wrath of the coming attacks.

Therefore, it's up to Americans themselves to be as prepared as they can possibly be for the coming holocaust. We're on our own. The government is making plans for the continuity of government. It's up to us to ensure that there is a continuity of America, a continuity of our families, a continuity of life.

There are obvious reasons the government is not telling you what I am telling you. It would be devastating to the economy. People might panic. And, as I said, the government can't protect you – or won't.

Could I be wrong? Could my sources be wrong? I surely hope so. I sincerely and fervently pray they are wrong. But the threat is real. Things could get very ugly real fast.

Our government needs to focus on the enemy within, our enemies cannot attack us with conventional means.

Within a year, hundreds of thousands of American boys, many of them my friends and family will go to Iraq to do what we should have done 10 years ago. If there are hundreds of terrorists already in this country they will be risking their lives for nothing.

No more PC, we must identify the internal enemy, even if we are called Islamophobic.

Far from easy, but we'd be better off than we are now.

This is a particularly alarming article, not to say that it is untrue. At this time, because of the eight year drain on our military, the lack of moral leadership for longer than that, AND the lack of strong, resolute leadership NOW, we are vulnerable. We have our soft underbelly exposed because we have become, by and large, one big soft underbelly. Would you feel confident that the current generation could fight and win a war against the 1940 Germans, and Japanese? That generation was hardened by the depression and the dustbowl years. We have been softened by Nintendo, and many other conveniences of the modern age.

In The Bible there are descriptions of the end times with not so cryptic mentions of the participants. The American Eagle is not mentioned. Not how could it be that the most powerful nation that has ever inhabited the planet is not involved in the largest battle ever. My conclusion is, that by the time this battle takes place we will be irrelevent. Now this battle may be next week or next year, or 500 years from now, but by the time it does happen, America will have gone through some mighty big changes. None of them for the better.

If there is a single reason for the amount of time I spend on this, and simalar sites, it is the realization that the Democrats plan for our nations future is a further step towards our irrelevence, when what we need is to be VERY relevent.

Be well...

I keep saying it will take a nuclear weapon going off here, and maybe more than one, to dislodge PC, because PC is so deeply ingrained in our society.

I sure wouldn't want to be a Muslim in the US after even a single WMD attack on our soil, much less multiple attacks at the same time. It will result in vigilante mobs attempting to kill every Muslim, and burn down every mosque, that they can find. This isn't a threat on my part - I have no intention in participating in any such activities - but I honestly believe many thousands of people will. At the very least, hundreds of Muslims will be killed.

If that's what it takes, then I'm reluctantly in favor of it. Better than thousands die now (there's no way the terrorists could have a nuke big enough to take out an entire city) than to have all 280 million of us slowly choked to death by creeping socialism and political correctness. And I do agree that after one or two nuclear bombs, the public would pratically start rioting to demand immediate repeal of all PC laws that put us at so much risk. It would probably also cause the biggest march on Washington since the Bonus Army protests (which ended in riots), by people that would bring the city to a standstill and refuse to leave until Bush and/or Congress did something to repeal PC laws and start getting serious about protecting us.

And luckily, this would probably cause the RATS to sputter and squawk so wildly that the GOP would end up with a good twenty years of total control: White House, House, and Senate all overwhelmingly GOP.

You give this generation too little credit, speaking for myself, an active duty Marine GySgt, The Corps can and will win just like the generation that humbled the Nazi's and Japanese. We still instill the Warrior spirit in our Marines.
Mark my words these men will do this country proud.
I also feel that our sister services are quite capable, and up to the task at hand. Give these men and women the credit they deserve, they get up every morning, put thier uniforms on and carry out the mission with no complaint. They know what is at stake, and are willing to be put in harms way so you can go to bed at night safely. Semper Fi.

After thinking about this for a few minutes, I am still not sure. 9/11 was the worst terrorist attack in the history of the world, was it not? Yet, even after this attack, there is not even the slightest chance of PC being in danger. I really don't know what to think anymore, but I think you are right, the public would riot.
