Message from Snow Bunny to all those who visit the Canteen.

This is how I think of the USO Canteen Freeper Style.
It is like a cottage down a road,
a place where a weary veteran can spend the night.

Since it opened, it is magical how so many
Freepers who post here, feel it too.
It has been so dear how the Freepers
kept making it a cottage - a home-type of place
that had a huge living room
for them to visit in and a dance floor, a library, etc.

Many Veterans have written to me,
saying that the Canteen is like home
to them for the first time since they served.

This is your Canteen -
a respite from our busy
and sometimes troubling world.
Make yourself at home.

What an awesome picture. It makes me dizzy looking at it. LOL Our nephew was so disappointed when he got that plane. He wanted another one. :( I don't know what he was thinking.....I love that plane. It's beautiful.

Spookie, THIS is why we are free--because NO dictator cares to take on a country full of armed citizens. It would be about two short steps, a hop, skip and a jump to utter tyrrany in the US if the liberals succeed in disarming the citizens. Beware.

Gosh, the hot sun and building something...We did that last week, and are still trying to recover. I laughed when I saw the electric line was within 1 foot of where we stopped digging (of course, after the fact). Between the electric line, the poison ivy, and the chiggars, the 4th was the best yet.
