Message from Snow Bunny to all those who visit the Canteen.

This is how I think of the USO Canteen Freeper Style.
It is like a cottage down a road,
a place where a weary veteran can spend the night.

Since it opened, it is magical how so many
Freepers who post here, feel it too.
It has been so dear how the Freepers
kept making it a cottage - a home-type of place
that had a huge living room
for them to visit in and a dance floor, a library, etc.

Many Veterans have written to me,
saying that the Canteen is like home
to them for the first time since they served.

This is your Canteen -
a respite from our busy
and sometimes troubling world.
Make yourself at home.

Gosh, I was right about England. LOL I should have kept on reading. Thanks for that shocking information. It just makes me sick. I believe with all my heart, one reason why our country has stayed strong and lasted so long is because we are allowed to own guns. No psychopathic, potential dictator would dare to cross us, as long as we are armed.

Guns don't cause crime. When I was growing up, all the boys at school had guns in their pickup trucks. We would go out and shoot after school. No kid ever shot up our school. No one was ever shot in our small town. My grandpa had a cabinet full of guns he used for hunting and for protecting his pecan farm.....nothing ever happened. He never went crazy and shot my grandmother or robbed a bank. My dad had guns and none of us were ever curious about them, went to the bedroom, pointed the gun at our face and accidently pulled the trigger. We were taught gun safety at an early age, even though we weren't using the guns or touching them. It was just basic common knowledge growing up in Texas, you don't point a gun at anyone or yourself, EVER.....even a toy gun. That's just the way we were brought up.

Gun control fruit loops are pyschopathic, potential dictators as far as I'm concerned.
